What is LinkedIn Learning
▪ LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.

▪ With more than 18,000+ courses and personalized recommendations, you can discover, complete, and track courses related to your field and interests. You can also choose to add these courses and
related skills to your LinkedIn profile once you've completed them.

▪ once you activated LinkedIn Learning license, you can access the entire Learning library of content, post the completed courses to your LinkedIn profile, and get recommendations based on the skills
you're interested in.

▪ To further enhance your learning experience, many of our courses come equipped with exercise files and assessments, and transcripts for the video. You can also use LinkedIn Learning to provide
feedback to courses, and view and download videos offline.

The three main course categories:

▪ Business: Full range of business topics including leadership and management
▪ Creative: Skills, knowledge, and tools required for a creative industry
▪ Technology: Skills, knowledge, and tools required to build tech expertise

It also offers another line of categorization:

▪ Subject : Individual topics within one of the three main categories
▪ Software : Knowledge of tools used in any of the three main categories
▪ Learning Path : Career paths you can pursue within each of the three main categories

How to Activate my LinkedIn Learning License
▪ Once your Learning license is provided by TÜV SÜD, you'll receive an email notification inviting you to activate your Learning account.

▪ To access Learning, open the email and click the Activate LinkedIn Learning now button. You’ll be taken to LinkedIn Learning, where you can view thousands of courses on business, tech, and creative
topics.

▪ To manage your account settings, click Me in the top right corner.

▪ Once you are allowed to link the Learning license to your personal LinkedIn profile, you’ll receive a LinkedIn notification for activating your Learning account. You can access LinkedIn Learning directly from
your personal LinkedIn account after activation. In this case, your Learning password will be the same as your LinkedIn password.

Important note:
If you received email from HR saying that we have allocated a learning license but didn’t receive license activation email;

please check your junk box (Other) in your outlook as stated in the below screenshot.

Report to HR immediately, if you didn’t find email from LinkedIn in “other” folder as well.

Recommended Learning Courses and Learning Paths From my Organization
▪ you may be sent recommended courses and learning paths from your HR based on competency requirement. These are courses that your leadership believe will benefit you in developing professional
skills or knowledge.

▪ You’ll receive the recommendation either through an email (if you’re a part of a Learning group or if you’ve been individually recommended content by your HR), or it’ll appear in the “Assigned by TÜV
SÜD” and “Recommended by TÜV SÜD” tab of your Learning account.

Important:

▪ Your HR can assign due dates for recommended content. If your HR did assign a due date, it will be noted in the Recommended to you by your organization section of your LinkedIn Learning
homepage, under or to the right of the title of the course name.
▪ You're not required by LinkedIn Learning to complete courses by the due date. However, your admin will receive data as to which learners have completed the course.

Mandatory courses Vs Recommended
courses

▪ The courses recommend by HR based on required

competency by TÜV SÜD, it can be completed 45 minutes
(average) per week basis for next 8-10 months based on
the timeline set up for the course.

▪ You are also allowed to take any relevant/interested courses

from LinkedIn (18,000+ materials available) apart from the
recommended courses by TÜV SÜD. However,
recommended courses are mandatory to complete and
certificate must be shared with hr-services@tuvsud.com.

▪ Please note that you don’t have to forward the certificate

immediately after completion of the course. You can send all
certificates together at once after completion of all training
courses.

Q&A

▪ What will happen if I didn’t active my license?

Company is investing huge amount to enhance your knowledge. If you are not activating your license within 10days from the date of
license email received, your license will be revoked and assigned to another employee.

▪ Do I need LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn learning platform?

When you log into LinkedIn Learning for the first time, the system creates a LinkedIn Learning account for you and gives you the option
to connect that account to your personal LinkedIn account. LinkedIn Learning accounts are not the same as LinkedIn accounts and you
are not required to have a LinkedIn account in order to access LinkedIn Learning content through Harvard. If you choose to connect your
LinkedIn Learning account to a LinkedIn profile, the system will be able to provide you with a more personalized learning experience and
you'll be able to access your LinkedIn Learning history

▪ How do I disconnect my LinkedIn account from my LinkedIn Learning account?
