‘Rodrigo Roa Duterte’

also known as Digong, Rody, and by the initials DU30 and PRRD, is a Filipino lawyer and

politician who served as the 16th president of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022. Duterte is

known for his authoritarian leadership style and man-of-the-people persona, which is

characterized by fiery rhetoric and controversial, off-the-cuff speeches. His political success has

been aided by his outspoken support for the extrajudicial execution of drug users and other

criminals. Duterte grew up in a simple, frugal lifestyle. Mr. Duterte's leadership style is

characterized by firmness in decisions, accepting responsibility for all actions taken, and the

ability to achieve the desired results. He is an entrepreneur, a risk taker, and a skilled negotiator.

Many people criticize and judge this president because, to be honest, people tend to focus on the
things he did wrong rather than the things he did to make this country a better place for us to live

in.
