Grouping Similar Types of Equipment by Resource

Concept
You can define Equipment Types to group similar types of resources. If the resource that you
have defined is a machine type, then you can choose the Equipment button from the
Resources page.

In this topic, you will group similar types of equipment by resource.

Step Action
1. Begin by navigating to the Resources page.

Click the vertical scrollbar.

2. Click the Manufacturing and Distribution Manager, Vision Services (USA),
Standard link.

3. Click the Resources link.

4. Use the Organizations page to select your organization.

5. Click the M1 Seattle Manufacturing list item.

6. Click the OK button.

or Press [Alt+O].
7. Use the Resources page to enter a resource name to describe the resource.

12. Click the Equipment button.

13. Use the Equipment Types page to group similar types of equipment.

15. Enter the desired information into the Equipment field. Enter "EMNEQ1".
16. Click in the Description field.

17. Click in the Equipment field.

18. Enter the desired information into the Equipment field. Enter "Assembly
Conveyor".
19. Click in the Description field.

20. Click the Save button.

21. You have successfully grouped similar types of equipment by resource.
