MANILA, Philippines — Inilagay sa Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal no. 2 sa ilang lugar sa
Pilipinas dahil na rin sa patuloy na epekto ng Tropical Storm Dante ngayong araw.

Ito ang anunsyo ng PAGASA habang napapanatili ng bagyo ang lakas nito't habang tumatawid
pakanluran sa Philippine Sea silangan ng kalugaran ng Dinagat-Siargao Islands.

Bandang 10 a.m. nang mamataan ang mata ng bagyo 235 kilometro silangan ng Maasin City,
Southern Leyte.

"The tropical storm will bring strong winds to gale-force winds over the areas where Tropical
Cyclone Wind Signal #2 is hoisted. Such conditions may bring generally light to moderate
damage to structures and vegetation," paliwanag ng state weather bureau ngayong umaga.

"Strong winds (strong breeze to near gale) which may cause generally very light damage to
structures and vegetation will be experienced in areas where TCWS #1 is in effect."

Landfall pwede nang mangyari

Patuloy na gagalawang pakanluran hilagangkanluran o hilagang kanluran ang Tropical Storm
Dante hanggang bukas ng gabi.

Sa kasalukuyang forecast track ng PAGASA, unang magla-landfall sa Eastern Samar o Leyte

ang Tropical Storm Dante ngayong hapon o gabi.

Pero dahil sa ikinikilos ng bagyo sa nakalipas na tatlo hanggang anim na oras, lumalaki ang
posibilidad na gagalaw si "Dante" pakanluran hilagangkanluran o kanluran. Dahil diyan,
pwedeng mangyari ang intuial landfall sa Leyte o Dinagal Islands-Siargao Islands area.

Una nang ibinalita na maliit ang pag-asang tatama ito sa kalupaan ng Pilipinas.

"This tropical storm is forecast to maintain its strength prior to landfall. 'DANTE' may weaken
into a tropical depression on Friday and to Low Pressure Area on Saturday," patuloy ng
PAGASA.

"Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management
ofces concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property."

Ang mga nakatira sa mga nabanggit na mga lugar, lalo na 'yung mga madalas maharap sa
mga nabanggit na peligro, ay pinapayuhang sumunod sa mga evacuation at iba pang utos ng
lokal na opisyal.
