PTP 25 BULLETIN #1:

Training Conditions and Pre-training Compliance Requirements, and


Virtual Launching of the 25th Foundation Certificate Course of the
Paralegal Training Program (PTP25)

Padayon and warmest greetings from the University of the Philippines Law Center
(UPLC)! We hope that you are all well and safe, and ready and eager to learn online.

Our online 25th Foundation Certificate Course of the Paralegal Training Program
(PTP25) will commence on 24 September 2022 (Saturday), at 9:00 A.M. We look
forward to meet all PTP25 trainees from various offices and locations nationwide and abroad
via Zoom conferencing platform.

To be regarded as one of the PTP25 trainees, please be advised of the following:

1. Payment of Participation Fee.- The participation fee of TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND


PESOS (P22,000.00) is due for payment and remittance no later than September 7,
2022 (Wednesday). Payment may be made through:

i. Over-the-counter payment in cash or manager’s check:

• Proceed to UPLC Collecting and Disbursing Section (CDS), G/F Bocobo


Hall, UP Law Center, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

• Official Receipt (OR) will be issued.

ii. Payment thru Landbank (AGDB) - direct bank deposit or online fund
transfer:

• Proceed to any LBP branch. Indicate the following bank details:

Account Number: 3072-1007-18

• Certification of Deposit will be issued by CDS upon receipt of bank


verification and Summary of Collections from UP Diliman Cash Office.
Validated deposit slips for direct bank deposit or successful
confirmation for fund transfer will act as proof of payment and
supporting document for reimbursement. [GAM for NGAs, Vol.1, Chap.
5, Sec 41-Procedures for Collections through AAB/AGDB]; AOM- UP
Consolidated Annual Audit Report for CY 2017). No official receipt will
be issued for payment thru direct bank deposit or online fund transfer.

iii. Payment through List of Due and Demandable Accounts Payable-Advice to


Debit Accounts (LDDAP-ADA)

• LDDAP-ADA is a form given by the agency to the bank concerned


authorizing the same to pay creditors listed in the LDDAP through direct
transfer to the creditor’s account. [Implementation of the Expanded
Modified Direct Payment Scheme (ExMDPS) For Accounts Payable Due
Creditors/Payees of All National Government Agencies (NGAs) (DBM
Circular 2013-16, Dec. 23, 2013, eff. 01-01-2014)]

• Official Receipt (OR) will be issued by UP Diliman Cash Office (UPDCO)


upon bank verification. Agency will secure the OR through the UPLC-
CDS.

2. Other Payment Instructions.-

i. The participation fee must be paid in full.

ii. The following payment modes are not acceptable:


a) Payment on installment or staggered basis
b) Payment via credit card or post-dated checks
c) Any online money/ fund transfer transactions powered by InstaPay (e.g.
GCash, Smart Padala, Palawan Express, PayMaya, BDO, BPI).

iii. The proof of payment such as the OR issued by the UPLC Cashier/CDS, the
machine-validated Cash Deposit Slip by the LBP or any member-bank of PESONet,
or the digital bank fund transfer confirmation slip must clearly show the following:
the date of transaction, destination account/account number, amount paid, and
bank validation for cash/check deposit, or confirmed successful (not pending)
transaction reference number for online fund transfer.

iv. Once payment is made, kindly fill up the PTP25 Proof of Payment Form and upload
a clear copy of the proof of payment (i.e. Official Receipt from CDS, deposit slip,
online transaction receipt). It is important that the proof of payment is sent to
the PTP Secretariat through the PTP25 Proof of Payment Form immediately after
payment or until September 9, 2022 for the confirmation of your slot. As the
number of training slots is limited, late submission of proof of payment may result
in forfeiture of your slot.

Note: Please rename the file to be uploaded in the following format: (1)
“[SURNAME], [FIRST NAME]_PAYMENT” (e.g. DELA CRUZ, JUAN_PAYMENT.jpg).

v. For applicants who will be sponsored by their company/institution, kindly send


the following details for the issuance of billing/Statement of Account (SOA):
Name of Applicant/s, Company Name, and Company Address. If payment
cannot be processed on or before the deadline, please submit a Certification of
Availability of Funds or any document from your HR or Finance Department that
will certify that funds are available for your participation in PTP25.

3. Other Instructions and Guidelines.-

i. ID Photo – You are required to submit a clear copy of your formal ID photo
(preferably with white background) for the preparation of your Class/ Batch
Directory and your Certified Trainees’ Gallery for the virtual closing /
“graduation” program. Please send your ID photo to the PTP Secretariat at
ptp_law.upd@up.edu.ph or thru the PTP25 Proof of Payment Form in the
following format: “[SURNAME], [FIRST NAME]_PHOTO” (e.g. DELA CRUZ,
JUAN_PHOTO.jpg).

ii. PTP 25 Training Kit.- Upon confirmation of your payment, you will be notified
by the PTP Secretariat via email on the availability and pick-up schedule of your
individual training kit which contains a training bag, UPLC-ID Card and lanyard,
pen, bluebook, and a copy of the 1987 Philippine Constitution.

The details and instructions for the pick-up of the kits will be sent to you by
email.

iii. PTP 25 Google Classroom and Gmail Account.- All training modules with online
lectures and classroom assignments and exercises will be conducted using the
Google Classroom application. For this purpose, you need to create a personal
Gmail account (@gmail.com domain, not a GSuite, Yahoo or other email
domain).

iv. Digital Zoom Conferencing Account.- Everyone is enjoined to attend the weekly
interactive Q&A (iQ&A) Forum where you can ask the lecturers about the topics
discussed to be held every Saturday via Zoom. This will be a synchronous
activity. All trainees must have a Zoom account by signing up at
http://zoom.us/. All trainees are required to install the latest Zoom App in their
devices.
v. Training Schedule.– This online training program is a combination of
synchronous and asynchronous learning methods. The bundled 2-3 modules
consisting of recorded video lectures and handouts are uploaded weekly and
accessed asynchronously, which trainees can study at their own pace and time.
The PTP25 training calendar is attached for your reference. The topics and dates
of training activities are subject to change without prior notice to trainees.

vi. Training Completion Requirements. –


a) Attendance and completion of at least 80% of the training hours
b) Submission of evaluation forms for modules attended
c) Submission and passing marks in all individual and group assignments (case
digests, affidavit, and/or any other legal documents)
d) Participation in the Group Report for Temp Check
e) Passing marks in all pop quizzes
