Our SCOPE Of WORK
INTRODUCTION
“ZERO FOOD WASTAGE” IS AN INITIATIVE THAT AIMS TO END THE WASTAGE
OF FOOD AND PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY TO THE COMMUNITY TO SHARE
FOOD WITH THE HUNGRY, INSTEAD OF SIMPLY THROWING IT AWAY.

THE UNITED NATIONS FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANIZATION (FAO)

ESTIMATES THAT MORE THAN 40 PER CENT OF FOOD PRODUCED IS WASTED
IN INDIA, COSTING US $14 BILLION (INR 1,019,858,000,000.00) EVERY YEAR.

IT IS QUITE COMMON TO FIND WASTAGE OF FOOD AT INDIAN WEDDINGS

AND PARTIES. TO REDUCE THIS WASTAGE, WE REACH VENUES AND
LOCATIONS TO PICK UP THE EXTRA FOOD AND DISTRIBUTE IT TO THE NEEDY.
WE ENSURE THAT THE FOOD IS FRESH AND EDIBLE BEFORE DISTRIBUTION.

IN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, THE COLLECTION OF 3500 KGS HAS BEEN
DISTRIBUTED TO 430,000 UNDERPRIVILEGED PERSONS.

IMPLEMENTATION:
Collaborating with Event Organizers:
We work closely with event organizers, educating them
about the importance of food conservation and seeking
their support in implementing our initiative. By building
partnerships, we establish a network that enables smooth
execution. Food Collection Process:
During events, our dedicated team collects surplus food
from the organizers and ensures its proper handling and
storage. We employ food safety guidelines to maintain
the quality and freshness of the collected items.
Distribution to the Needy:
We have established a well-organized distribution system to deliver
the collected food to local charities, shelters, and community centers.
These organizations, equipped with the infrastructure to handle food
donations, help us efficiently reach individuals who are facing food
insecurity.
Benefits and Impact:
Minimizing Food Waste:
By intercepting and redistributing excess food, we significantly reduce the amount of
food that would otherwise end up in landfills. This approach promotes a circular
economy and contributes to a more sustainable environment.

Alleviating Hunger:
The surplus food we collect and distribute directly benefits individuals and
families struggling with food insecurity. By ensuring access to nourishing
meals, we make a positive impact on their lives and well-being.

Social Responsibility and Awareness:

Our initiative fosters a sense of social responsibility among event organizers and
participants. By actively participating in our program, they contribute to a
collective effort in addressing the pressing issue of hunger and food waste.
Furthermore, our initiative raises awareness about these issues, inspiring others
to take action.
