elements of art and 2 principles of organization Requirements: a. A painting b. Interpretation of the artwork by answering the following questions:
i. What elements of art are employed in the artwork? How did
they contribute to the aesthetics and meaning of the artwork? - The elements of art employed in my artwork are line, color, shape, value, and space. The elements of art mentioned contribute to the aesthetics and meaning by giving life to the artwork which also serve as the building blocks of every artwork. Without them, it would be nothing but pointless. They represent the artist’s technique and its overall context. ii. What principles of organization applied in the artwork? What impact did they have on the artwork? - The principle of organization applied in the artwork is variety. Different colors and shapes are shown in the artwork and are put together to form a whole. Their difference with one another makes the artwork whole and unique, which is the impact of variety applied. iii. What meaning would you give to your artwork? Use the levels of meaning from the previous discussion. - The meaning I would give to my artwork is formal. The importance of formal level of meaning is it allows us to look at an artwork from an objective viewpoint.
