TD-esc-02-de-en-15-037 Rev000 E-115 grid connection work schedule iii of iii

Technical Information
E-115 grid connection work schedule

1 General information
Since many grid connection teams use different grid connection procedures, there is a big difference in the amount of time it takes. For more efficient plan-
ning of manpower, time and costs, the grid connection procedure has to be standardised. This document defines the new standard work schedule.

2 Scope of application
With the exception of Canada, this document applies worldwide to all E-115 wind turbines with tower heights > 97 metres.

3 Framework conditions
The following grid connection work schedule for E-115 WECs is designed as an aid to improve workflow. Any more effective working methods may contin-
ue to be use provided the safety rules are respected. This work schedule has been created assuming that the following conditions on site are met:
 Grid connection is carried out by eleven technicians with the appropriate qualifications.
 There are no remaining tasks from previous teams (e.g. installation).
 All mandatory items in the grid connection instructions have been carried out.
 All materials and tools/equipment for grid connection are available on site.
 Grid connection is not influenced or delayed by other teams (e.g. installation, etc.).
Under these conditions, grid connection takes four days. Depending on the WEC particulars, the grid connection procedure can take up to four and a half
days. In this case and for other varying conditions on site, the procedure has to be adapted accordingly.

5 Explanatory notes on the work schedule
The coloured boxes in the chart below provide an overview of the various GC tasks. The work steps shown on the chart do not correspond exactly to the
contents of the work instructions. Some work steps not listed in the work instructions have been added, others have been condensed into one item. The
various colours on the work schedule indicate which work instructions document provides the information for the respective work step so that any questions
concerning details can be easily looked up. The table below shows which colour corresponds to which work instructions document:

Table 2: Overview of respective documents

A legend indicating which colour corresponds to which area can be found at the bottom of each scheduled day.

6 How to use the work schedule

Before starting grid connection work, the team leader assigns a specific position to each team member (Technician 1, Technician 2, etc.). This way, each
technician knows when he has to perform which task. Team members with open blocks on the schedule should use this time to assist the other team mem-
bers or complete remaining tasks and do finishing work.
