Cell Theory

֎All living organisms are divided into:-

1) Unicellular organisms:-
 Their bodies consist of one cell only which performs all vital activities needed
for the continuity life.
 They represent some living organisms.
 As:-
 Paramecium
 Amoeba
 Bacteria

2) Multicellular organisms:-
 Their bodies consist of many cells which differentiate and specialize in their
functions.
 They represent most of living organisms.
 As:-
 Tree
 Human
 Whale

֎Diversity of cells:-

Cell: it is the tiniest building unit in organism's body that is capable of carrying out all
the functions of life.

Important notes:-

1. Cells are varied in shape, structure and size, where:-

 The tiniest cell in size is "Bacterial cell".
 The biggest cell in size is the unfertilized egg cell.
2. There is a relationship between the cells shape and the functions that they
performs such as:-
 Nerve cells(Neurons):
 Are the longest cells may be a meter to be able to transfer the
massages from the spinal cord that is present inside the vertebral
column to the farthest part of the body.
