Grouping arts

The arts are generally grouped into major and minor arts. Major arts include paintings, architecture,
sculpture, literature, music, dance. Minor arts include decorative arts, popular arts, the graphic arts,
and industrial arts.
Visual arts
These artworks are perceived by eyes which maybe classified into graphic arts and plastic arts.

Graphic arts
They have flat two-dimensional surface such as painting, drawing, photography and other products
of printing industry. It covers the commercial arts like the design of books, advertisement, signs,
poster, and other displays for advertisement.

Plastic arts
are art forms which involve physical manipulation of a plastic medium by molding or modeling such
as sculpture or ceramics. Materials for use in the plastic arts, in the narrower definition, include
those that can be carved or shaped, such as stone or wood, concrete, glass, or metal.
The term "plastic art" - derived from the word "plasticize", meaning "to mould" - describes any art
form which involves modelling or moulding in three dimensions. The most common example of the
plastic arts is sculpture. This is because sculptors chip, carve, shape or modulate a range of
traditional materials, such as marble, granite, sandstone, bone, ivory, wood, and terracotta, as well
as contemporary materials such as concrete, aluminium, and foam rubber. Another type of plastic
art, in this case using clay, is ceramic pottery, including earthenware, maiolica, raku and stoneware,
as well as Chinese porcelain and celadon ware. Yet more types of plastic art include: collage, paper
art, and Origami paper folding; metalworking, glass blowing and other forms of glass art, including
mosaics; wood-working, as well as contemporary disciplines such as ice sculpture and also sand
art.

Performing arts
These include the theater, play, dance, and music. They involved movement, speaking and gestures.

Literary arts
These include short stories, novels, poetry, prose and drams
Literary art which is an art that makes language as a medium, can be interpreted as a branch of art
that contains everything both oral and written that contains elements of beauty, art, imaginative
from the work of someone whose results can be enjoyed because it has excellence and artistic
factors.

Popular arts
These includes the film, newspaper, magazines, radio and televisions.
Any dance, literature, music, theatre, or other art form intended to be received and appreciated by
ordinary people in a literate, technologically advanced society dominated by urban culture

Gustatory art of cuisine


Refers to a type of Arts(Appreciating beauty) in terms of food. It can be called as food decorating or
food plating. The Art of Food Decorating -It is said that the eyes also eat.

Decorative arts
The decorative arts are arts or crafts whose object is the design and manufacture of objects that
are both beautiful and functional. It includes most of the arts making objects for the interiors of
buildings, and interior design, but not usually architecture. ceramic
art, metalwork, furniture, jewellery, fashion, various forms of the textile arts and glassware are
major groupings.
