ECO CLUB ACTIVITIES – 2023-24

Date: 15th July 2023


CLASS I & II

Class I& II: - POPSICLE BOOKMARK (CLASSROOM ACTIVITY)


 It is a class activity.
 Any number of students can participate.
 Participants must make their bookmark during the allotted time period and cannot bring pre-made
bookmarks. (Time limit: 1 hour)
 Participants must bring their own materials, including Popsicle sticks, glue, markers or crayons, and any
other decorations they wish to use.
 Judging Criteria: Creativity, Originality, Neatness, Visual appeal, and Overall presentation.
 Best two students will be selected from each class for the 1st and 2nd position.

CLASS III to V

Class III: - Topic: SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITIY ON ENVIRONMENT (Primary Auditorium)
 It is an individual stage activity.
 Any number of students can participate in the preliminary selection process on 8th July 2023.
 The best two students from each section will be selected by the class teacher.
 The selected participants from each section will participate on day of competition on 15th July.
 Participants have to display an object related to environment, and speak a few lines about it.
 Each participant will get maximum two minutes time on the stage.
 All materials have to be brought by the participants.
 The criteria for judging will be presentation, relevancy, content, pronunciation and memory.
 Two best students will be selected for 1st & 2nd positions. And the decision of the judges will be final.

Class IV & V: - Topic: SYMPOSIUM ON PROTECT ENVIRONMENT (Secondary Auditorium)


 It is a stage activity. The participants will speak on the stage on a given topic (Protect Environment)
 Two students will be selected by the Class Teacher through a Preliminary selection process on 8th July.
 The selected students from each section will perform on the final day. (15th July).
 Maximum two minutes time will be given to each participant to speak on stage on the given topic.
 The criteria for judging will be –
 Originality of idea, Creative thinking, Presentation, Clarity of idea and relevancy.
 Two best two students from each class will be adjudged for 1st and 2nd positions.
 The decision of the judges will be final.

CLASS VI, VII & VIII

Class VI to VIII: - Bulletin Board Decoration Competition (CLASSROOM ACTIVITY)


 It is a classroom activity.
 It is a best out of waste activity. Finished products from the market will be allowed. Waste materials should
be brought to school and prepare the decoration items in the school during the competition.
 The topic for the competition will be SAVE ENVIRONMENT.
 10 students from each class will be selected by the class teacher.
 All the work i.e. drawing, colouring, pasting, labelling, etc will be done within the time limit (1.5 hours).
 The Judging Criteria would be: Creativity, Presentation, Neatness, Relation to the current environmental
scenario.
 Materials required will be brought by the students.

CLASS IX, X, XI & XII

Classes IX, X, XI & XII: - Model Making Competition (Topic – Sustainable Development)
 It is a classroom group activity.
 All the materials required will be brought by the students.
 Requirement: Exhibition and explanation of any of the topics given below:
 Misuse of mineral resources.
 Modern urban life and sustainability
 Modern agriculture and loss of fertility
 Modern eating habits and its impact
 Importance of Millets in our daily life/nutrition (Millet Year – 2023)
 Judging Criteria: Presentation, Creativity, Utility, and Awareness Development.

Class IX & X: - (Activity for Assessment of Board Exams to be conducted on 5th August )
 Plantation of Saplings in groups of five for the entire class.
 Description and utility of the sapling planted (write up).
 Instructions will be given by the Teacher In-charges.
