Technique and Knowledge acquired:
- Examining protein ratio and concentration by SDS-PAGE and Bradford, hands-on experiment
related to microbial biology: cell culture, Aseptic Technique and Transfer of Microorganisms
- Collect biology data to optimize production based on the analysis of relationship of inducer
methanol and yeast growth, expression levels.
- Research and develop novel induction strategies that maximize protein expression levels.
- Design experiments and conduct research for publication.
Achievements:
- Successfully tested new induction method: methanol pulse method based on dissolved oxygen
monitoring: expression efficiency increased by nearly 10 times
- Present research result and poster in the semi-final round of Student Research Competition
Éureka 2020.
- Presenter at the Faculty's Bio-science Gate program to inspire research for junior students
- One paper published at the Vietnam National Conference on Biotechnology 2020
- The Third Prize at the Ho Chi Minh City Science-Technology Awards 2019-2020
