Specific topic: Imagine you need to give advice about your city/town to your client from abroad. He/She is going to have a business trip in your place next month. Instruction: For each category, decide what advice you would give and explain why. - Travel – how to arrive in your town: by plane, bus, train, etc. - Accommodation – where to stay - Traveling around the city – transportation - Other useful information – some beautiful sights to see in free time, special foods to try,etc. Note: Each student will choose to come from different cities and give different advice to your own client for each category above.

Specified topic: Make a short discussion on the location of your current university. Instruction: You will need to give the information on: + The size and type of space + The good things of the location + The bad things of the location + Your personal preferences Note: Students can use some of the expressions in exercise 1,8 and vocabulary in exercise 5 on page 18-19 to help you make correct sentences.

Specified topic: Instruction: First, answer the following questions yourself: + What is your favourite day for shopping? + Where do you like to buy things? + Which products do you usually buy online? + What do you spend most money on? (e.g.What percentage of your money do you spend shopping for clothes?) Second, ask the same questions to 5 more students in your class. Record the answers. Third, compare answers and make a presentation with the results of your survey. Note: Your presentation must include: + Graphic presentation of the survey results 1 + Conclusions and suggestions about the spending habits of UIT students.
4. General topic: Work Patterns
Specified topic: You are asked to discuss on your favorite work patterns. Instruction: Discuss what your work patterns look like and explain your ideas. You should talk about: + The working hours + Flexible hours + The lunch break + Working from home Note: Students choose different forms of work patterns and discuss. Students can get some information on page 134,135 and 141 in their textbook.
5. General topic: Cash and Cashless payments
Specified topic: What are the advantages and disadvantages of cash and cashless payments? Discuss both views and give your own opinion. Instruction: Your presentation must include: + The advantages of cash and cashless payments + The disadvantages of cash and cashless payments + Your own opinion Note: You are going to create a magazine or newspaper advert with interesting or funny pictures to convince people to stop using cash. You can also include some stories or interviews with “famous people”
6. General topic: Teamwork
Specified topic: Student 1: You are going to discuss on the advantages of teamwork teamwork in the working environment. You should talk about: + How often teamwork happens + Advantages of teamwork Student 2: You are going to describe your disappointment to the Helper. Student 3: You are going to give instructions on how to support the Speaker. Note: Students can get some information on page 63 (Exercise 10) in their textbook.
