CASE STORY TITLE: Natural Reserve Institute of Barangay Bayalse

Conflict Identification
Because of global warming or climate change, Barangay Bayalse is undergoing a circumstance
that has a considerable impact on specific aspects of life. Inundation, rockfall, and dry spell have
been continual. These are some of the outcomes of climate change. It's resulted in the loss of
property, accidents, and lives. Following the flood, food scarcity became their primary concern.
Due to climate change, the main source of income of Barangay Bayalse, which is farming and
fishing, has been disrupted. As a result of constant Inundation and rockfall, their area becomes
unreachable for help. They also lack knowledge of assessing disasters and finding a solution.
Plan of Action
I want to address a seminar about disaster risk reduction, which will tackle dealing with
calamities for the physical effect. It includes doing first aid must do steps before, during, and
after the accidents. This activity will help the people be aware and reduce possible casualties and
damages. Additionally, I will impose another seminar that will discuss mental health. In times of
calamities, people are paranoid and can’t think straight. We should help them cope with this kind
of stress because mental health matters.
Reflection
Through this activity, I learned that climate change significantly affects our lives. We must find a
solution to stop this. People should know that every one of us is contributing to climate change,
and we should be able to prevent this by planting more trees lessening the usage of plastic. In
these simple ways, we can help our environment.
