- How old are you?

Respondent:
- I am 42

Interviewer:
- And you are working as a teacher here, right?

Respondent:
- Yes

Interviewer:
- So i want to ask about how are you connected with Baiboosun nature reserve?

Respondent:
- Our school knows about Baiboosun, and our children had two camps in Shamshy, near
Tokmok City, in the Chui region. Our children study about leopards, their life, where are they?

Interviewer:
- Do you teach your students about nature, biodiversity?

Respondent:
- In Kyrgyz or in English?

Interviewer:
- In any language

Respondent:
- Yes, we have a subject connected to upbringing

(the respondent could continue the interview in English and it continued in Russian)

- I am a teacher of primary school and don't have high level of English.

Interviewer:
- After the creation of Baiboosun, was there more education about it?

Respondent:
- Yes, there were 2-3 (doesn’t specify what 2-3, but probably events or lessons) about
Baiboosun.

Interviewer:
- Have you noticed any changes in the life of village in terms of infrastructure after the creation
of Baiboosun, maybe there are some new infrastructure?

Respondent:
- No, I haven’t noticed anything, the teacher of biology might know about it.

Interviewer:
- Did the creation of a reserve affect children?

Respondent:
- Yes, it did

Interviewer:
- How?

Respondent:
- Children know how to defend animals, and how to take care of them, so, in general, they know
more about it, and more information is available.

Interviewer:
- After the creation of Baiboosun, have you noticed any changes in tourism here?

Respondent:
- There is one tour company, but It doesn’t relate to Baiboosun, and I don’t about Baiboosun.
There are in Kok-Sai, in that village they do more about Baiboosun.

Interviewer:
- Is there anyone here who tells about Baiboosun to children regularly?

Respondent:
- There were people from Kok-Sai village who were coming to school and conducting lessons,
games, and quests, but there is no one in our village. There is a place in Kok-Sai, called Jaichy
(your camp), we came there.

Interviewer:
- Are people's lives improved in any way after the creation of Baiboosun?

No answer

Interviewer:
- Do you know if Camp Alatoo did something connected to Baiboosun in your village?

Respondent:
- I don’t know about this organization.
