REFLECTION

Sarah’s personal biases is the she thinks that finally leaving the Philippines will make her life and the life
of her family easier because, she will be paid more and less work. But in reality, it was almost the same
they need connections to get a job specially in her and teddy’s field of work.

The Barriers to spiritual care that Sarah is having to her patient’s is that the patient doesn’t want to talk
and want to be left alone. For he doesn’t want to be feel pitied. And she is very soft hearted and pities
her patients easily.

I think that these barriers can be solved/addressed if Sarah talks to her patients naturally with a tone of
care daily to develop friendship while being professional. And to never mix personal problems with
work.

So, I think that Sarah’s situation is the same as it was in the Philippines just without her related family
and close friends. And that it is hard to adjust in a different country’s norms and values and to be always
professional in work.
