Exam and Quiz: 60%
Seatwork, Homework, Problem Set, and Attendance: 40%

Cutoff: 60%
Class Policies

1. The student shall be allowed to incur AT MOST TWO ABSENCES (i.e., 3

hours) subject to evaluation of formal excuse letter. In case the absence
coincides with an exam or quiz, a special exam covering ALL TOPICS in
the course outline shall be given towards the end of the semester.

2. The student shall NOT UPLOAD any course material, in part or in whole,
to the internet or any other site or platform that would subvert the course
objectives.

3. Solutions to all evaluations shall be HANDWRITTEN clearly and legibly.

Typewritten solutions and erasures are strictly not allowed.

4. Final answers must be BOXED. Unboxed answers will not be

acknowledged.

5. Before responding to the exams, quizzes, and problem sets, the student
must include the HONOR CODE indicated below. Exclusion of the honor
code, whether intended or not, and/or failure to observe rules 2–4 results
automatically to a zero grade.

HONOR CODE

I, FULL NAME IN CAPS, commit to uphold the university's principle of

honor and excellence. I therefore certify that I have not given or received
assistance from anyone, from the conception up to the writing of
solutions. I understand that any instances of plagiarism on this
assessment will result in a failing score. I accept that any suspected
misconduct on this examination subjects me to appropriate disciplinary
action per university rules and procedures.

Signature over Printed Name over Date

6. Phones are NOT ALLOWED during class discussions. However, the

student shall be given time to take pictures of board solutions after each
example.

7. For class-related inquiries, the student may communicate using the

lecturer's contact information (email preferably). Use appropriate EMAIL
SUBJECT by following DE_YR&SET_REASON (e.g., DE_2B_Excuse Letter)
to ensure records are formally and properly filed. Similarly, official class
announcements shall be sent via email.

8. Grievances about grades and scores must be raised within THREE DAYS
upon the return of class papers.

9. Grades may be adjusted, given COMPLETE NOTES by the student.

10. The lecturer reserves the right to make changes in the class policies
stipulated herein when deemed necessary.
