    - Pertains to the whole population

    - Pertains to a part of the population

    STANDARD DEVIATION
    1. Standard Deviation Population
    - Pertains to the whole population

    SD POP FORMULA

    = Sqrt(VarPop)

    2. Standard Deviation Sample


    - Pertains to a part of the population

    SD SAM FORMULA

    = Sqrt(VarSam)
    QUARTILES
    - divides data set into 4 equal parts and has 3 dividers

    LOCATION FORMULA

    i (n + 1)
    4

    n = total number of data sets (e.g. 100 data sets)


    i = Quartile number (Q1, Q2, Q3)

    QUARTILE VALUE FORMULA

    L1 + (L2 + L1)*D

    L1 = Lower location
    L1 = Higher location
    D = Decimal Value of current quartile

    DECILES
    - divides data set into 10 equal parts and has 9 dividers

    PERCENTILES
    - divides data set into 100 equal parts and has 99 dividers

    QUANTILES
    - divides data set into equal parts
