I Copaiba Oil Resin The chemical composition of the oil-resin of copaiba is thought
Copaifera officinalis to have approximately 72 sesquiterpenes (hydrocarbons) and 28
diterpenes (carboxylic acids), and the oil is composed by 50% of each
these terpenes.Copaiba oil-resin also has antiulcer, antiviral and anti-
rhinovirus properties. It’s a well known product from the Amazon,
being described in the British Pharmacopeia over 150 years ago.
Passion Fruit Oil Passion fruit oil has a pleasant taste and odour and a high content of
Passiflora edulis unsaturated fatty acids. It has a relaxing aromatic substance (passiflorin) that
reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and reduces stress and fatigue. Passion fruit
oil is rich in linoleic acid, and restores the lipid layer of skin and provides
moisturizing and emollient properties that increase skin silkiness.

Pequi Oil Pequi oil is rich in fatty acids and boasts a high content of vitamins A, C and
Caryocar brasiliense many B, as well as phytosterols, stigmasterol and lanosterol. Squalene and
selenium are obtained in concentrations of 64mg ans 0.7mg per 100g
respectively. The oil is used in the production of skin creams and lotions,
soaps, bath oils as well as shampoo and conditions for dried and brittle hair.
Tucumã Pulp Oil The oil extracted from the tucumã pulp contains 25.6% saturated fatty acids, and 74,4%
Astrocaryum vulgare of unsaturated fatty acids represented by palmitic, stearic, oleic and linoleic. Its value of
ßcarotene reaches 180 to 330 mg/100g. As the oil is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9, it behaves
as an excellent moisturizer and is used in cosmetics for skin hydrations, body lotions
and hair products. It is also excellent emollient with a high spreadability powder.

Babaçu Butter Babacu butter is a superior emollient that is beneficial for either dry or
Orbignya oleifera oily complexions, contains about 70% lipids which is essential to reducing
dry skin conditions. It also has the ability to balance the moisture level of
the skin at epidermis level, revitalizing dull skin without leaving an oily
sheen. Babacu butter is also naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E and F.

consistency due its higher melting point (33ºC). The butter is a
highly nourishing emollient and moisturizer for hair and skin.
Ucuuba Butter The ucuuba seeds are rich in fat (60-70%) and 70% of the fat is composed of trimyristin, a
Virola sebifera triglyceride of myristic acid. The butter has a high-melting point (53ºC) and saponification
value (220mg KOH/g) which makes it to be an ideal raw material that could replace animal
tallow in the production of fine soaps, as well as replacement to other fatty substances
in the food and pharmaceutical industries that need a high melting point.
