2.0 SCOPE:
This document describes the steps to be taken regarding isolation and safe handover
of AN Evaporators 17-2105/25/06/26/07/27.
3.0 PURPOSE:
This procedure covers operational steps for safe handover of AN Evaporators 17-
2105/25/06/26/07/27 for maintenance/inspection activities. All requirements for isolation are
covered in this procedure.

4.0 CHEMICALS INVOLVED:

5.0 HAZARDS AND RISKS INVOLVED:

6.0 SAFETY PRECAUTION:


6.1 Ensure the compliance of mandatory PPE’s.
6.2 Use rubber gloves as per requirement and wear chemical resistant suit and face shield for
emergency handling.
6.3 Ensure that all relevant F-Keys are in placed at their designated location for their easy access.
6.4 Walkie talkie must be available with the field operator and inside control room for better
communication.
6.5 Barricade the area and restrict any unwanted movement of personnel.

7.0 PREREQUISITE:
7.1 Inform UM CAN and Coordination engineer in event of heavy AN leakage or spillage.
7.2 Ensure the availability of fire water and fresh water supply.
7.3 Ensure full face gas masks and SCABA are in good health for immediate use in case of emergency.
7.4 The hose pipe should be certified and properly clamped.
7.5 Monitor the wind direction intermittently with reference to NAST.
