1. Students will write evidence of culture in their lives and all around (at home, with
their families, friends, school, etc).
Mexican food: Especially the city where I am located, Monterrey, is known for its regional
cuisine, which includes dishes such as cabrito, carne asada, tamales, gorditas, and more.
You can find numerous restaurants and food stalls serving authentic Mexican food.

Local markets and stores: Traditional markets, such as Mercado Juarez and Mercado
Hidalgo, offer authentic Mexican products, such as handicrafts, clothing, hats, and food
products such as dried chiles and Mexican sweets.

Architecture and art: Some historic buildings in Monterrey show Mexican architectural
influences, such as the Palacio del Obispado and the Museo Marco. In addition, you can
find art galleries and murals that reflect Mexican culture.

Spanish language: Spanish is the predominant language in Monterrey, and is an essential

part of Mexican culture. You will hear and see the language everywhere, from traffic signs
to conversations on the street.
Cards will be presented in cards (well done)
