1. Differentiate enterprise hardware and software (5 points)

- An enterprise hardware is a tool to make a computer to work and function, a physical part of a
computer system, and a computer requires hardware to exist.

-A software is as application in our androids we install to our computer that has its own code, just
like a specific program. It’s the program or applications that we run on a physical device. Some of the
example of a software are Internet Browser, Audio Player, Video Player, Operating System etc.

2. Describe the two primary categories of software (5 points)

- The two-primary category of software are application software and system software.

o Application software - is one of the primary category of a software this is a type of computer
program that performs a specific personal, educational, and business function. Some of
examples of this what is used by numerous people are The Microsoft suite (Office, Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) which is I personally use as a student to accomplish my task in school
efficiently.
o System software – a computer program designed for a computers hardware and application to
run examples are Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS.

3. Describe the role of ERP software plays in an organization (5 points)

- ERP or Enterprise Resource Planning is a software for business management that allows an
organization to leverage a suite of integrated applications. ERP systems streamline and automate
processes, creating a leaner, more accurate and efficient operation. ERP provides complete visibility into
core business processes.

4. Describe cloud computing and its advantages for use in an organizations (5 points)

- Cloud computing is an internet tool for individual and business to store important data’s,
database, software and etc. instead of storing our files on a hard drive it would be more accessible when
it is on cloud as long as we have an internet to access to web we have access to the data to run.

Some of the advantages of cloud computing are, increase of productivity, speed, efficient, and security.

5. Why learn Virtualization? (5 points)

- Virtualization is a process for more efficient utilization of physical computer hardware and the
foundation of cloud computing. As an individual who is a future office worker, I believe that I should
learn virtualization for it is built to be beneficial.

- Virtualization is the foundation of cloud computing their benefits of Virtualization and this are
the following: Resource efficiency, easier management, Minimal downtime, Faster provisioning.

o Virtualization - a process that allows for more efficient utilization of physical computer
hardware and is the foundation of cloud computing.

o Hypervisors - the software layer that coordinates VMs. It serves as an interface between
the VM and the underlying physical hardware, ensuring that each has access to the
physical resources it needs to execute. It also ensures that the VMs don’t interfere with
each other by impinging on each other’s memory space or compute cycles.

The typical data center components that are visualized are Routers, switches, firewalls, storage systems,
servers, and application delivery controllers. Data center security is crucial in data center architecture
because these components hold and handle business-critical data and applications.

9. What is VMware technology popular in industry (5 points)

VMware is a Windows software program that allows you to install a virtual operating system within the
Windows operating system. The organization offers outstanding incentives, a wonderful work-life
balance, amazing work culture and leadership, and numerous prospects for advancement. It is also
dynamic for employees in the sense that you must stay up with the latest technologies and not become
complacent. The corporation looks after its staff so that they can look after clients.
