6. Accidental release measures


Personal precautions : For small spills ensure suitable equipment and PPE is used. Dispose of waste in accordance
with local rules. For large spills the following PPE is recommended to reduce risk: safety glasses,
chemical resistant shoes and gloves, long sleeves / trousers. Remove non-essential personnel
from the area. Ensure that any products of incompatible classes near the spill are removed.

Environmentalprecautions : Contain large spills/releases using appropriate bunding or capping. Prevent entry into drainage
systems, sewers and waterways.

Methods for cleaning up : Spills may be slippery. Small spills use mop and bucket, for larger spills contain with absorbent
material, collect and dispose.

Handling : Use clean dispensing equipment, use appropriate PPE, always add product to water when
diluting.
: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Store away from foodstuffs. Store away from
incompatible materials described in Section 10. Store in original containers whenever possible.

transfer. Keep containers closed when not in use - check regularly for leaks. Ensure good
housekeeping in storage area.
