ABSTRACT
The study sought alternative Eco Safe materials for Production of handmade cups from rice Straws. The
rice straw fibre was pulped using selected eco-friendly materials Viz., straw pulp, Corn flour, vinegar,
water.
Introduction: India is a major rice producing country. our farmers play one of the most important roles
in the agriculture industry. Most of the time straws from the mill is either burnt or dumped as waste in
open fields.
Every year Delhi's Skies turn extra musky when farmers in Punjab burn paddy stubble to clear their fields.
Eco ware is attempting to mitigate some of this air pollution by Picking up Punjab’s paddy Straw and
converting it into eco-friendly cups.
Using paddy straws converts it into biodegradable cups this type of cups useful and lessens Stubble
burning to some extent.
Methodology: As we aware of how to fast food Cups like aluminium and thermo coal cups harm to our
health and environment. In this Process we prepared a questionnaire by using Survey method and collect
information from fast food shopkeepers in Veeraghattam.
Data Analysis:
→ Total Survey fast food centres in veeraghattam. - 5 shops
→Aluminium chat fast food cups sold perday-20
→ Members that eat chat in plastic plates Sold on perday-10
→ Members that eat Noodles, Panipuri in steels Sold on per day - 10
→ Members that eat chat in thermocol cups Sold on per day - 60
After that we analyse the survey and given wide publicity how to effect of plastic, thermocol, Aluminium
on Human health. and environmental health. we suggested that following things that rice straw cups.
Solution to the problem:
for use the purpose of eat in plastic plate micro plastics entering the human body via direct exposures
through ingestion can lead to health Impacts cancer, Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and neuro digestive
diseases.
Eating hot food off thermocol cups can increase the risk of kidney stones, it contains polystyrene. It
causes for respiratory problems.
Aluminium attacks our central muscle nervous system, bone pain, muscle weakness, Slow growth in
children.
These new rice straw cups are long-lasting alternative to one use plastic, Aluminium and thermocol throw
away cups as un recycled take hundreds of years to break down. Rice Straw cups are eco friendly
biodegradable and don't
contain any harmful substance and biodegradable in approximately just 2 to 3 years in soil.

ABSTRACT

The Fast-Growing Population, rapid modernization and industrialization have relentlessly

increased the demand of energy in developing countries. According to scientists, fossil fuels may come
to an end in 2040, all the resources of fossil fuels will be finished. So, for this reason we all should
focus our view on the alternative renewable resources i.e., biofuels. In this context Cassava Tapioca is
a promising biofuel crop. It can pose as a great raw material for production of biogas.
Tapioca is a starch extracted from the storage roots of the cassava plant. Storage roots can be harvested
9-18 months after planting. It is also propagated through stem cuttings taken from mature healthy plant.
It is mostly grown as a rain-fed crop in the uplands and agency areas. Cassava is a highly starch
producing tuber and it is not useful to eat as raw. Because the fresh tubers and leaves contain harmful
hydrocynic acid and hence are to be sun-dried for 5-7 days. 100 grams of Cassava flour contains 38
grams of carbohydrates. Other main important character is, it is a low-maintenance crop. In Our Village
farmers export Sun-dried Cassava tuber chips to other places and the excessive wastes of the tuber are
left behind and it is causing pollution.
The main objective of this project
1. To promote the sustainable production of renewable energy i.e biogas, obtained from the tuber
waste.
2. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to the consumption of renewable energy sources and to
the adequate waste management.
3. Renewable energy production with small scale biogas plants for energy self-consumption.

ABSTRACT

Floods are natural occurrences where an area or land that is normally dry abruptly becomes
submerged in water. Flooding happens in many ways due to overflow of streams, rivers, lakes or oceans or
as a result of excessive rain. Whenever flooding takes place, there is the possibility of loss of life, hardship
to people, and extensive damage to property. This is because flooding can carry bridges, cars, houses, and
even people. In the year 2021, many states across India have been affected by floods. As many as 42 people
have died and 217 houses were destroyed due to rains, landslides and flash floods between Oct 12 and 20 in
Kerala. In Visakhapatnam 46 people died in Andhra Pradesh between July and November 2021 due to
heavy rains and flooding. The adverse weather systems damaged about 7,700 houses and resulted in the
death of 5,660 livestock. Recently, in the month of December a duplex house on the banks of Swarnamukhi
River caved in to the flood waters in Vasundhara Nagar locality at Tiruchanoor near Tirupathi. In this way
we are observing that floods causing devastating effect on human life. Henceforth, it is crucial to search for
a more effective flood mitigation approaches in the flood prone areas. The aim of this project is to design
automated flood defense mechanism based on the theory of buoyancy. Amphibious habitation is an eco-
friendly, adaptive flood risk reduction strategy that works in synchrony with a flood prone regions natural
cycles of flooding, rather than attempting to obstruct them. This project highlights the possibility of
adopting Hybrid housing system over selected flood hit regions. Amphibious habitation structures can be
used because of the advantages they offer, such as lightweight, strong buoyancy, corrosion resistance, cheap
manufacturing costs, and the ease of construction works. These are houses that float only during flood
water, else get placed on the ground, particularly during dry season if there is no water. The amphibious
houses are constructed using E P S (Expanded Poly-Styrene block) and GFRG (Glass Fiber Reinforced
Gypsum) panels and stainless steel pistons (guide posts) on four corners of the house. These 4 guide posts
keep the house in place as it rises, just like floating docks. To avoid the floating house from being swept
away by the floodwaters, it should be placed by four steel pistons at 25 feet into the earth in four corners
through the walls. So, the house is supported on the inner rods of these pistons. During floods, the house
will move up along with the air tank with the piston. When the water recedes, it will automatically come
back to the normal level. The house will not move an inch on to the sides.

ABSTRACT

The waste water with maximum composition of pollutence is made to run with through layers
coarse sand, coal, pebbles, etc., so that in soluble impurities are strained. The reed forms like phragmites
(NANAL) ehornea, pistia etc, are having busty and fibrous roots which successfully filter the micro
pollutants’ through diffusion , osmosis etc. The water which has been runner over reed beds is collected and
can be utilised for domestic purposes and also irrigation units.
As global water resources decline, re use of industrial waste water/domestic waste water for the
irrigation/ of home gardens is quickly becoming wide spread in many parts of the world. To find an
alternative for fresh water resources in the places where drinking water standards are not required grey
water, industrial waste water recycling can be adopted. Waste water is an immense resource which could
have significant application in the regions of water security. This is done by using wet land plant, reeds that
has extensive root system. The characteristics of grey water before and after treatment are analyzed and
compared.
AIMS &OBJECTIVES: 1.To improves quality of waste water with reed bed system.
2. Elimination of pollutants, toxicants, heavy metals.

ABSTRACT
Plastic bag, poly bag, or pouch is a type of container made of thin, flexible, plastic film, nonwoven
fabric or plastic textile. Plastic bags are used for containing and transporting goods such as foods, produce,
powders, ice, magazines, chemicals, and waste. It is a common form of packaging. The major impact of
plastic bags on the environment is that it takes many years to for them to decompose. In addition, toxic
substances are released into the soil when plastic bags perish under sunlight and if plastic bags are burned,
they release a toxic substance into the air causing ambient air pollution. So, these plastic bags can be
replaced with eco-friendly bags that are made from banana bunch stalk . As biodegradable products break
down naturally, they eventually decompose and are consumed by soil and other natural components. This
natural process means no forced chemical reaction needs to take place to kick start the process and less
pollution will happen as a result.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
To reduce usage of plastic bags
To minimize pollution in the environment by the use of Eco- friendly bags
The Banana bunch stalk is selected for the project as it is a waste material with rich of starch.
Material Required: 1. Banana bunch stalk 2. Large stain less steel vessels. 3. Caustic soda (NAOH)
Procedure: Initially we take Banana bunch stalk and cut off into small pieces and boil them with water in
a large stainless steel vessel, after 15 minutes we should add caustic soda to it. The caustic soda addition
results in formation of foam so it should be stirred continuously for 1 hour alongside boiling. after boiling
you have to remove the water and let it cool for 15minutes at room temperature and then grind it into
smooth paste for 30 minutes. Then we have to roll the paste into a thin layer on a smooth surface and this
layers to be left for drying under fan for 12 hours [approximately] after the paste is dried, we have to
separate it carefully from the surface. It turn out into a fine thin sheet, which can be stitched into a carry bag.
RESULTS: It results that very useful eco-friendly carry bags to reduce waste usage of plastic.
SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM : Plastic bags have become an integral part of our life because almost
every local store owner provide the products in it for carrying. It can’t useful at all it can produce pollution
But our eco-friendly carry bags can reduce the pollution of plastic and save our earth from plastic .
FUTURE PLANNING :We can reduce plastic and save future generations from plastic and also our earth
from air pollution ,water pollution, and soil pollution by using this eco-friendly carry bags they can
produced by small equipment which is waste of banana plant and full of best fibers.

ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION :
Jute is a long, soft, shiny bast fibre that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It is 100 % bio-degradable,
recyclable and also environment friendly.
PVC Flex is a sheet of Polythene widely used to deliver high quality digital print for outdoor hordings and
banners.
To compare Non degradable capacity and water holding capacity, we selected this project “ A DESIGN OF
ECO FRIENDLY FLEX BANNER”.
OBJECTIVES:
1.To know the Non degradable capacity and Water absorbency of Jute and PVC Flex banner
2.To understand Water absorbency capacity and Non degradable capacityof Jute and PVC Flex.
3.To create awareness on the usage of Jute banners.
4.To reduce the pollution created by PVC Flex.
METHODOLOGY:
We conducted some experiments to know about the Non degradable capacity and Water absorbency
capacity of Jute and PVC Flex on 7th,14th and 21st day in our school laboratory and school premises.
RESULTS:
We observed that water absorbency capacity and biodegradable capacity of Jute is more than that PVC
Flex.
CONCLUSION:
Ordinarily when Jute fabric ( Ex : Gunny Bags) is placed in intimate contact with moist earth or soil, it
degrades quite rapidly and degrades completely with in 2-3 months. Highest water absorbency ( 72 %) of
the fabric can be obtained at 60% Jute content level.
PVC Flex itself is Non degradable and can exist in the environment for many many years. Studies of
animals show that some of chemicals in PVC Flex cause cancer, damage of kidney and reproductive
system. Flex is not bio degradable and when burnt, it emits highly toxic fumes which have serious effect on
public health. Experts said Flex is dangerous because it does not dissolve on its own.
So it is better to use Jute banner with natural colour printing than PVC Flex banner.

ABSTRACT
Waste-to-Energy is challenging management. Utilization of waste as a renewable source of energy
can achieve environmental sustainability and compensate shortage of other energy sources. India generates
62 million tonnes of waste each year. Of this, only about 25%is processed, i.e., recycled or converted into
energy, remaining finds its way into dumpsites or burned openly. The reason behind this is in India more
open space for landfills and the waste has low calorific value with high moisture content. The calorific
value of waste in India is 1,411-2,150kca/kg is too low to burn. Many countries use waste to energy plants
to capture the energy in MSW. The use of WTE plants in some European countries and in Japan is
relatively high in part because those countries have little open space for landfills. For my study, I went to
Tirupati Municipal Corporation to collect the information about MSW management. I There is no treatment
of waste to energy management in Tirupati. The purpose of the study is to discuss and introduce the
importance of WTE management in Tirupati for sustainable living.
OBJECTIVES:
 To develop the knowledge of appropriate technology for sustainable living among the students.
 To know about the various methods of production of large amount of electricity with Waste.
 To investigate the significance of various types of wastes in generating the electricity
METHOD:1. Survey method 2. Experimental method
PROCEDURE: For this we have conducted a survey in our city to know about usage of electricity in that
city and how much waste is collected per day. Collected data regarding advantages of Waste To energy and
experimentally proved the generation of electric energy from the waste.
RESULT:

 The mixture of Dry and Wet solid waste generates more energy.

 The more quantity of the waste generates more energy.

 The less thickness of the furnace releases more energy.

SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM:Urban local bodies should invest in preparing an action plan on waste
management in accordance with the solid waste management rules and adopt the key elements of waste
hierarchy as refuse, reuse, recycle and recover
FUTURE SCOPE OF THE WORK:
 Future oriented waste management concepts should fulfill economic and ecological needs.
 pyrolysis or gasification of high calorific value fractions can offer, in combination with power plants
and industrial furnaces
 The collected waste materials need to be segregated properly because it reduces calorific value.
· The selling price of power cannot be increased corresponding to the purchasing price.

ABSTRACT
In the markets number of floor cleaners are available. But they have high concentrated chemicals
they cause harm to our skin and eyes. If we use synthetic floor cleaners continuously these chemicals
deposited on the floor and they may dissolve in the water these chemicals accumulate in the flesh and
muscles and leads to diseases like cancer and other health problems. To solve this problem natural floor
cleaner is the best alternate. The natural floor cleaner is prepared with natural materials. These materials
mostly available in the kitchen rooms and in our surroundings. For this we need camphor, baking soda,
water and vinegar, perfume etc. In one litre of water add camphor powder, vinegar, patika powder, in
required ratio. Now transfer this water in big sized bowl and finally add baking soda. Then the floor cleaner
is ready to use. In one bucket full of water add three caps of floor cleaner and use it for cleaning purpose.
This solution is also as hand wash also.
In another way we will prepare second type of floor cleaner for this we need some required materials like
neem leaves, organic reetha, salt and light smelled perfume. Take a bowl fill it with water and add some
reetha into that water soak them for over night . Remove seeds from reetha and transfer them into another
bowl which contain already water. Add some neem leaves and boil for 5 minutes let it cool down upto room
temperature add small amount of salt and few drops of perfume now the floor cleaner is ready to use. It is
also used as hand wash.

ABSTRACT
In today’s electronic age, people are starting to consider going paperless. But there’s still a long
way to go before we lose our dependence on this very important human product. From our news papers to
note books and wrappings paper is still everywhere and most of them are ending up in our landfills creating
a staggering amount of paper waste. There was a time when paper was a rare and precious commodity.
From 2010 to 2060, the global consumption of pulp and paper is expected to double. The same will the
amount of paper waste. An increased paper production will also add further to the pressure on the world’s
forests that are already in a critical state - and constantly getting worse. We are cutting down forests for
making our homes. We are continuing with an excessive consumption of natural resources. Their excessive
use is resulting in their depletion, risking the life of our future generations. Is this ethical? This is the issue
that environmental ethics takes up.
I decided making any product out of waste was not our only goal. We believed in doing our bit for the
deteriorating nature. We believed in giving back to our self less planet. We believed in filling the world
with fresh , green saplings that grow into tall , strong trees. And we wanted to do exactly that. Paper
recycling is one of the most well established recycling schemes applied to waste materials today. But if we
recycle the used paper we will get paper again but not the plant or tree. That though hitting my mind and it
played most important role to create this, Innovative platable magic paper.
Grind paper (preferably recycled and/or post-consumer) to a pulp, Strain ,Add vegetable, herb, or flower
seeds, Press everything together, Dry paper.
Plantable paper goods have both social and environmental value. Socially, seed-embedded products
can beautify communities, contributing green space and happiness-inducing flowers (or healthy veggies)
virtually anywhere there’s soil. They can also transform the way people think about trash: Plantable paper
items are a creative way to reduce waste and repurpose used products. Environmentally, Plantable goods
can contribute to reforestation, which improves soil and wetland health, water quality, and animal habitat.
They can also encourage people to plant home gardens, which provide much-needed habitat for bees and
other wildlife, and are better for the soil than perfectly manicured lawns. Seed paper is generally made from
recycled materials and natural vegetable dyes. When put to its intended use, seed paper
is biodegradable and zero-waste.

ABSTRACT

In the last few decades eco-friendly, bio-friendly, cost-effective and relatively safe herbal
medicines have moved from the fringe to the mainstream with increased research in the field of traditional
medicine. Medicinal plants are an integral component of alternative medical care. For millennia, Indian
people traditionally played an important role in the management of biological resources and were
custodians of related knowledge that they acquired through trial and error over centuries. India has a rich
wealth of medicinal plants and the potential to accept the challenge to meet the global demand for
them. Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and folk medicine are the major healthcare systems in Indian
society, which fully depend upon natural resources. The market for herbal drugs has grown at an impressive
rate due to a global resurgence in traditional and alternative healthcare systems, and therefore medicinal
plants have great economic importance. However loss of biodiversity, over-exploitation and unscientific use
of medicinal plants, industrialization, biopiracy, together with lack of regulation and infrastructure are the
major impediments to the growth of herbal medicine. Conservation, proper research based on traditional
knowledge, quality control of herbal medicine and proper documentation are essential in the 21st century
for the growth of herbal remedies usage.

the crop yield and wastage generated from the crops. Maize and Banana were the major crops, after
harvesting lot of waste was generated when compared to other crops.
Farmers are dumping their wastes on either side of the roads, or burning them, which may lead to
air pollution and causes lot of health problems too. We wished to make a project on recycling of plant
wastes and to create awareness on this with the help of this project. Used banana and Maize waste materials
are collected from the open fields. They are shredded, mixed with soil and cassia leave dry powder. Cassia
is a commonly growing plant in our fields, leaves and pods powder shows anti viral, antibacterial,
antifungal properties. These leaves clear the soil spores, mycelium, kill the disease causing pathogens and
provides pathogen free atmosphere for the plants to grow healthily. These cups have more water retaining
capacity because of fibrous nature.
We prepared cups with the above mixture. These cups are coated with Fenugreek grains (seeds)
paste to add resistance. The grain coated Maize and banana cups are used to grow saplings/seeds. These
green products make significant contribution to sustainable living. They enhance and promote biodiversity.
They help to maintain healthy ecosystems. Traditional knowledge systems promote sustainable
development.
