Project: Food for holidays - Stage 2
This project aims at exploring how diverse food is and the alternatives of local and international
cuisine when choosing a dish. The project consists of two stages, one per term.

General description:

1 Get your computer ready:
Download and install a screen recorder app. Make sure it
works on your desktop or laptop computer.

2 Review the contents of units 4 and 5 on Touchstone:

Make notes of the vocabulary, phrases and language


you may need for the presentation.

Unit 4: Family Life.

Unit 5: Food choices.

We suggest you do this before November 26th

3 Design your presentation:

1. From the city or town you’ve visited and talked in the first stage talk
about a typical dish you tried and talk about two dishes from different
countries.
● Present the three dishes you can recommend.
● Talk about their ingredients, the way it is served, taste, origin, the
time and holidays to have them.

★ Prepare a mind map as a resource for you when you record your video.
★ Select supporting images (pictures) to create slides for your presentation.

Practice your presentation:

Use the mind map and pictures to get confident about your fluency and
pronunciation.

We suggest you do this before November 26th

4 Record your presentation:

● Make sure your video takes 3 to 4 minutes and


complies with the ground rules.
● Verify public access for your video and paste the
link in the assignment section.

Ground rules:
● Show university ID at the beginning of the video.
● Show BOTH your face and device screen.
From November 21st to November 26th
● No help from third parties is allowed.
● No use of dictionaries or translator is allowed.
● Time limits is a MUST.
● Video not meeting the given criteria will be automatically graded 0.0

● Make sure video has no access restrictions. This will automatically


invalidate your attempt.

● No second attempt and/or extensions of time (EOTs) are to be granted.
