A one-day online workshop on human rights was held on March 4, 2021 at RMDSMS Kondhapuri. The workshop had 78 registered participants and 43 attendees. The objective was to increase awareness of human rights. Senior Advocate Chandrakant Shinde spoke about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and emphasized the role of police in protecting rights and addressing discrimination. He discussed empowering tribal women through government schemes. The interactive session included answering participant questions. Certificates were issued to 41 participants who provided feedback.

A One day workshop on Human Rights has been conducted on 4thMarch
2021, at RMDSMS Kondhapuri.This workshop has been sponsored by RMDSMS Kondhapuri.78 participants registered for the program.43 participants joined the Program. Shri Chandrakant Yashwant Shinde, Senior Advocate Pune District was invited as the resource person for the workshop. Dr.Yogesh Bhowte gave introductory remarks. Dr.Anita S Mane Director of RMDSMS Kondhapuri gave the welcome address. Shri Chandrakant Yashwant Shinde spoke that due to the enormous loss of life, horror and abomination caused during the World War II, the United Nations signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the year 1948 on the 10th of December; to propose a common understanding for everyone’s rights. Even today, the world is being built based on freedom, justice and peace based on these rights. He emphasized the role of police personal in protecting the human rights and he advised them to come forward to register their difficulties in sustaining their rights. He spoke on discrimination based on men, women, caste, race, country and colour. He emphasized the atrocities enacted upon the people and elaborated the role of the National Human Rights Commission in helping and protecting them. He talked about on the rights of all the tribal women in empowering themselves in all government schemes. The entire session was interactive and the speakers answered many queries raised by the participants. The entire program was co-ordinated with the support of the Director, faculty and Students of the RMDSMS.At the end Ms.Shafiya Shaikh the student of MBA II gave the vote of thanks and the workshop got concluded.41 participants were issued certificates after they have given the feedback.
