As you are aware as prelude to Swachh Bharat Diwas-2023 (SHS-2023), the annual
Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) fortnight is being jointly organised by Swachh Bharat Mission-
Urban and Grameen between 1Sth Sept to 2nd Oct 2023. A joint advisory (S-1301516212023-
SBM-VI-DDWS) was issued on 4th Sept '23 on the activities to be taken up by States/ UTs.
Additionally, a D.O. Letter (218I2019-SBM lV) dated Sth Sept'23 was also shared detailing the
activities with SOPs on events.

2. SHS-2023 will be launched by Hon'ble Minister of Jal Shakti, Minister of Housing &
Urban Affairs and Hon'ble Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, on 1Sth Sept'23
at 2.00 pm through a virtual programme. A tentative agenda for the meeting is at Annex.

3. lt is requested that you participate in this meeting along with your State Mission
Director, Municipal Commissioners and other officers.

4. lt is requested that pS-UDs and MDs are to preferably join the launch via NIC studio
(Topic :- swachhata Hi seva (sHS) -2023, VCID - 1417744, Password- 4292).

5. Municipal Commissioners/EOs of all cities are to join via the webcast link
