 How to Replace a Connector

Preparation
Industrial tools: Tweezers, nippers,
screwdriver

1. Loosen two knobs and remove the bracket of the Control unit. (See Fig. 1)
Remove 4 screws of the cover. (See Fig. 2)

2. Put the Control unit upside down and remove the front panel.
Caution:
The front panel is connected to the real side of panel with two flat cables and cable harness.
Do not cut the flat cables and cable harness when the front panel is removed.

3. Remove the cable from two clamps. Disconnect the flat cables and PH connector
assembly. And loosen the screw and remove the crimp.

This cable is connected between the port J218 of

C-CPU Board and the loudspeaker.

Note: Disconnecting flat cable

To disconnect the flat cable, gently, set the locking tab to
vertical position and then pull out the cable from the
connector. Excess force will damage the connector tab.
To connect the cable, reverse the above procedure.

4. Remove the ring nut with tweezers or nippers.

Note: Turn the ring nut counterclockwise to unlock it as shown in below figures.

5. Loosen 4 screws around the edge of the cover of the loudspeaker and remove it.

6. Lift the speaker with industrial tools as shown in below figure 1 and remove the connector of
HANDSET.

Note: Do not damage the cone of the loudspeaker with industrial tools.

7. Replace the old connector with the new one. Reverse the above procedures.

8. Pass the cable harness through the groove of the cover of the loudspeaker.
Replace the cover and tighten 4 screws around the edge of the cover.

Replace the cover and

tighten 4 screws.

9. Replace the ring nut of HANDSET. (See the figures of procedure No. 4.)

10. Connect the flat cables and cable harness. And replace the crimp and tighten the screw.

11. Replace the rear cover.

12. Tighten 4 screws around the edge of the cover and fix the bracket and two knobs.
