Dripper Flow Monitor and Record

In order to follow drip irrigation proper operation, we use a manual check to record
drippers' adequate flow in the fields.
This procedure should be performed once in 7-10 days for each sample dripper.

Equipment:
- 50cc-100cc Plastic cups marked with scale mark (Fig. 1).
- Plot map to record flow

Procedure:
Initial installation:
1. Mark a diagonal on the plot map and define the sample drippers (Fig. 2).
2. Place a marked plastic cup below each sample dripper (Fig. 3).
3. Repeat for each block (plantations and open field).

Routine test and record:

1. Start the procedure at the beginning of workday.
2. Use the plot record sheet (Fig. 4) to record the time and date of the beginning of
thecheck.
3. Walk through the plot and empty all plastic cups.
4. At the end of workday – walk through the plot and record each plastic cup
watermeasurement in the plot record sheet.
5. File the plot record sheet to create a continuous dripper flow monitoring.
