METHOD OF STATEMENT: Installation of air-conditioning Diffuser and Sensors

1. DEVICES: Air-Conditioning Diffuser, Temperature Sensor and Occupancy Sensor

2. PURPOSE
2.1. To describe procedure for the installation of the above-mentioned devices together with single phase cables

3. WORK PARTICULARS incorrect description

3.1. Location of Installation: Premises of Singapore Technologies (ST) Jurong East Hub
3.2. Mubest Pte Ltd installation of new air-conditioning diffuser and connections to replace existing air con vent
3.3. Mubest Pte Ltd installation of temperature sensor and cccupancy sensor at ceiling
3.4. Works to be carried out during the night time (7pm onwards till 6am) after ST operations shutdown and office
and other personnel leave premises

4. EQUIPMENT/TOOLS REQUIREMENTS
4.1 Ladder with inspection check list to use platform ladder only
4.2 Cable, cutter and etc
4.3 Electrical Tools - battery powered tools, test pen, screw drivers

Do not use test pen

5. WORK PROCEDURE/ACTIVITY
5.1 Brief worker on protection, control measures and PPE to wear
5.2 Identify and verify site access to location for carrying of tools, ladder and devices
5.3 Identify the number of ceiling air-con vents for replacement
5.4 Identify the number of temperature and occupancy sensors for installation
5.5 Use ladder to remove current ventilating fixture at ceiling
5.6 Install the new diffuser in place of the current ventilating fixture
5.7 Connect aircon flexible to diffuser
5.8 Connect cable from lighting point to diffuser
5.9 Testing and Commissioning: Switch on air conditioning to test new diffuser

6. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
6.1 Remove all unnecessary jewelry (earrings, rings, necklace and bracelet),
headphones, wrist band and watches before work to proceed
6.2 Check ladder before each use
6.3 Electrical Gloves to be worn during cable connection
6.4 Check that necessary tools/equipment required for the works are certified for use and in good working
condition.
6.5 Safety helmets, fall protection device, barricade the work area with safety netting
and warning signs.
7. EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
7.1 The following are identified as emergency situations
a. Falling off the ladder
b. Mishandling and losing grip of the air conditioning diffuser or sensors whilst on ladder
c. Connecting cable to diffuser and sensor
