 START-UP COMPETITION: A PLATFORM FOR SUCCESS

✓ Applications – Online entries open 3 May 2022 – 30 June 2022 – www.africaproptechforum.com

✓Pre-screening of applications – 1 July to 29 July 2022 – The APF Start-Up Competition sub-committee will
screen applications to ensure they meet the criteria and select 10 to 15 semi-finalists

✓Virtual Pitch Day (semi-finals)- 18 August 2022 – The semi-finalists selected will then pitch their start-ups to
the Jury (members of the board) during a 2.5hrs virtual pitch session. Jury will then have a 30-minute discussion
and select 5 start-ups (finalists) that will compete at Grand Finale taking place during the Africa Proptech Forum
main event

✓The Grand Finale- 20 September 2022 - The Grand Finale takes place at the Africa Proptech Forum in
Johannesburg. Finalists will have a 90-minute Q&A session (Dragon’s Den style) with an elite panel of judges
including regional and global VCs, entrepreneurs, and real estate / Proptech leaders.

✓Prizes and the winner announcement - 20 September 2022 – The winner of the Grand Finale will be
announced at the closing of Africa Proptech Forum. The winner to win a prize worth a total of $10 000

Our annual flagship event, The African Proptech Forum, is the

only pan-Africa Proptech Summit, which gathers decision
makers from the tech and formal real estate sectors and takes
place at the Marriot in Johannesburg, South Africa on 20
September 2022.
