Sheet No 5:-Projection of Point & Line

Problem: 1
Draw the projection of the points detailed in the following table. Take a common reference
line XY for all points. Take the distance between the projectors of each point as 20mm. also
decide the location of the point with respect to the quadrant.
POINT POSITION OF THE POINT
A 1O mm above HP 25 mm in front of VP
B 15 mm above HP 20 mm behind VP
C 15 mm below HP 20 mm behind VP
D 25 mm below HP 10 mm in front of VP

Problem: 2
Draw the projection of the points detailed in the following table. Take a common reference
line XY for all points. Take the distance between the projectors of each point as 25mm. also
decide the location of the point with respect to the quadrant.
POINT POSITION OF THE POINT
P On the HP 25 mm in front of VP
Q On the HP 20 mm behind VP
R 20 mm above HP On the VP
S 25 mm below HP On the VP

Problem: 3
A line AB is 80mm long. It is inclined at an angle of 45o to the HP and 30o to the VP. The end
A is 20 mm above HP and 30 mm in front of VP. Draw the projections of the line AB. Find the
elevation length and the plan length of the line. Determine the apparent inclination of the line
AB with HP and VP.
Problem: 4
The line AB has end A in front of VP and 30mm above HP, while end B is on VP and 20mm
below HP. the Line is inclined at 30o to the VP and the apparent angle in elevation is 30o. Draw
the projections of the line AB. Find the true length, the elevation length and the plan length of
the line. Measure the inclination of the line with the HP.
Problem: 5
Line AB 75mm long makes 450 inclination with VP while its FV makes 550. End A is 10 mm
above HP and 15 mm in front of VP. If line is in 1st quadrant draw its projections and find it’s
inclination with HP.
Problem: 6
FV of line AB is 500 inclined to xy and measures 55 mm long while its TV is 600 inclined to
xy line. If end A is 10 mm above HP and 15 mm in front of VP, draw its projections, find TL,
inclinations of line with HP & VP.
Problem: 7
Line AB is 75 mm long .It’s FV and TV measure 50 mm & 60 mm long respectively. End A
is 10 mm above HP and 15 mm in front of VP. Draw projections of line AB if end B is in first
quadrant. Find angle with HP and VP.
Problem: 8
The Projector of the ends of a line AB are 50 mm apart. The end A is 20 mm above HP and 30
mm in front of VP. The end B is 10 mm below HP and 40 mm behind VP. Determine the true
length of AB and its Inclination with HP.
