Present Simple Present Progressive

(He, She, It always take an “s”) (verb “to be” + ing)
I work hard.
You walk to work.
He sleeps in the day,
because he works at
night.
She cheats on her tests.
It barks all day, because
it is left at home alone.
We eat chips for dinner.
You go to the movies 3
times a week.
They want to go on vacation
to China.

The Present Simple tense is used when we talk about things we do regularly,
generally, or as a habit.

The Present Progressive Tense is used when we talk about something that we are
doing now or a planned activity in the near future.
