COURSE TITLE: CDI 4 - Traffic Management and Accident Investigation with Driving
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course covers processes of traffic management, the agencies
regulating transportation and the traffic facilities and control devices.
The elements of Traffic Management, Traffic Administration and
Traffic Law Enforcement. The traffic violations, and traffic accident
investigation.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students shall be able to:
2. Comprehend the development of Road, Traffic Lights, and other road safety
requirements, and traffic control devices.
3. Discuss the Traffic Administration and apply the basic principle on Traffic Policy Making
and Program Development.
4. Illustrate the significant of traffic management for traffic safety and the different agencies
involved therein.
5. Apply the concept of traffic administration and management in law enforcement and
public safety.
6. Determine the process and procedure related issuances about Driver’s License and
Permits; Motor Vehicle Conduction Permit; and License Plate including Special, Vanity
and Government Officials plates Registration, and Renewal under R.A 4136.
7. Recognize the deferent Traffic Violations under R.A. 4136 and other related Laws –
Driver’s License Related violations, R.A. 10586, R.A. 10913, R.A. 10054, R.A,
8750/8730, Motor Vehicle Related Violations, R.A. 8749. Violations related to load,
weight and dimension.
8. Apply knowledge, skills in criminal law, evidence and procedure in conducting traffic
accidents investigation
9. Internalize the legal principles on relevant jurisprudence related to traffic laws, rules and
regulations in traffic accidents
10. Apply knowledge of criminalistics for detection and investigation of hit-and-run cases.
11. Develop knowledge and skills in driving defensively in accordance with the principles of
road safety and general rules of road use and conduct based on the traffic rules and
regulation.
