An Ordinance Strengthening and Institutionalizing Kadiwa-Tienda Program of

Municipality of MacArthur, Leyte with Appropriation Thereof.

SECTION 1: PROGRAM DESCRIPTION. The following are the key components of the
program
1. Increase of income among small local agricultural producers.
2. Stability of prices and supply of foods and other basic commodities in the local
market.
3. Organizing and Strengthening the local community organizations in agricultural
and fisheries sector.
4. Promote Networking and Market Linkages.
5. Strengthening and Institutionalization of LGU engagement in Kadiwa-Tienda
Program

SECTION 2: SCOPE. The Kadiwa-Tienda Program will be implemented within the

Municipality of MacArthur, Leyte. This program will also promote networking and
market linkages outside the municipality to help the local farmers and fishers sell
their everyday produced product.

SECTION 3: OBJECTIVES.

1. To establish permanent Kadiwa-Tienda facility;

2. To provide transportation vehicle/s to Kadiwa-Tienda Program.
3. To monitor the supply and demand in the local market.
4. To help the small local farmers and fishers market their products.
5. To capacitate the local agricultural and fisherfolks community organizations.
6. To promote locally produced products of the municipality.
7. To establish monitoring and evaluation system of the Kadiwa-Tienda Program.
8. To create a team that will oversee the implementation of the Kadiwa-Tienda
Program
9. To create Kadiwa-Tienda Association that will manage the program’s activities
and projects.
10.To promote partnership and cooperation among stakeholders.
11.To strengthen and institutionalize the LGU engagement in Kadiwa-Tienda
Program
