CRITERIA

1. Teacher greets pupils.


PRE-LESSON

2. Teacher paste pictures of figure skater and chess player on the whiteboard.
3. Teacher writes the word figure skater and chess player and have pupils guess the
meanings of the words.
4. Teacher writes up the topic of today’s lesson,
5. Teacher states the objectives of the day’s lesson by writing aims that pupils need to
achieve on the whiteboard.

1. Teacher starts the lesson by asking pupils to open textbook page 8.


LESSON DEVELOPMENT

2. Teacher then have pupils read the story of a day in life of a figure skater and a chess
player.
3. Teacher asks some questions about the story to check pupils comprehension.
ACTIVITIES

4. Teacher ask pupils to underline the keywords of the lesson which is adverbs of
frequency. (always, usually, sometimes and never)
5. Teacher then proceed the lesson by pasting adverbs of frequency table on the
whiteboard. (refer to appendixes)
6. Teacher explains how adverbs of frequency works.
7. Teacher give handouts to the pupils. (fill in the blank and true or false exercise)
8. Teacher checks the answer together with the pupils.

1. Teacher picks pupils randomly to talk about themselves using the adverbs of

frequency. (e.g., I always play football with my friends)


2. Teacher check pupils understanding by asking them to raise the cards that are given
to them.
3. Pupils need to raise a green card if they achieved the objectives of todays lesson and
raise a red card if they don’t achieve the objectives of the lesson.

Today’s class went well. Most of pupils were able to achieved the objectives of the
lesson. They were able to guess the unfamiliar words with clue given and able to read
and complete the exercise given correctly. However, there are 2 to 3 pupils who got
some wrong answers in their exercise. During the lesson about adverbs of frequency,
pupils participated the most as they know how to use the adverbs of frequency. I
think for the next class, i can proceed with the new topic.
