Researcher: What have you learned from your specialized subjects?

Respondent: I learned to my specialized subject, I am ahmm… a lot of mistake,

in mistake you’ll learn ahmm… what ahh what is correct what is wrong. So, I
learned to my specialized subject how to journalize, balance and ahmm…. ano
ba ‘yan, kailangan natin ng lear- ahh ayy ah time management yun lang
kailangan sa specialized subjects ng grade twelve. A-Ahmm especially sa FABM
at tiyaka sa business finance. In business finance ahmm it is ahmm… hard and
difficult to us. Us, as abm students kasi it is more on millions of numbers ahmm…
so yun. That’s what I have learned in our specialized subjects.

Researcher: Do you enjoy attending those specialized subjects classes? Why or

why not?

Respondent: Yes. Yes, I-I’m happy just like what I said recently, in making
mistake, you will learn. So, kahit alam mo mali na pero ginagawa mo pa rin. So
hahaha yes, I enjoy to my ano specialized subject especially in business finance.
So, why did I enjoy because ahmm… all of my classmates are ahmm… making
a--- wait lang daw, pause muna. Yes, I enjoy my ahmm… specialized subject
during in the first sems ahmm first semester especially to my business teacher,
ahh business finance teacher ahmm, in business finance subject, ma’am ayy my
subject teacher taught us ah... making mistake is ahmm… normal… ahmm… but
giving up to- but giving u- but giving up is not okay. So, ahm practice to lear—ah
ay practice how to make balance and I prefer…. hahaha. I prefer myself
ahmm… to be ahmm… making more mistakes to learn more.

Researcher: Being an ABM student, how can you improve your learnings in your
specialized subjects?
Respondent: First, you need time management and you have ahmm…
comprehension, you need to ahmm… s-study hard to improve your ahmm…
individual skills or individual talents ahmm… because our specialized subjects is
not an easy. So, as a ay ah so, as a student I can rate one to ten it is ahm ten
point five, because poi- the point five extra is hindi pa sure kung ma-haha
hahaha mabalance. So, as an ABM student, how ah... how can I improve to be
ahh… learning in specialized subjects. First, I need to ahmm… ahmm… study
hard, I need to focus on what-what teachers will teach, you need to ahmm… you
need to have a prior knowledge in the specialized subject. So, yun.

subjects?

Respondent: Every person has ahmmm… has a personal capability or learning

capabilities. Being an ABM student, one of my weakness is slow ahmm…
learner. Being a slow learner cannot ahmm… cannot get along with my
classmates because they are you know smart. So, yun.

Respondent: I worked hard, ahh… double or triple times I study a day that’s why
I cope at challenges.

Respondent: Marami, like balance, balance sheet and then how to manage
money, mga ganun.

why not?

Respondent: Siyempre, kasi machachallenge ka kasi like sa mga balance sheet

machallenge ka talaga diyan kahit isang ano lang o like mapressure ka pero
enjoy naman siya kung… like motivation lang talaga diyan.

Respondent: Ano lang o, motivation lang talaga sa self, tiyaga, sipag lang talaga
na para maano mo yung mga challenges, yun.

subjects?

Respondent: Yun na nga, sa balance talaga.

Respondent: Ahmm… Think lang ng na ano na kaya mo, na kaya mong ano
lagpasan siya and dapat ienjoy mo lang siya, ganun, ‘wag mong seryosohin.

Respondent: Malaki siyang ano, malaking… ano ba ‘yan malaking bagay talaga
siya para sa future career ko like maging ABM ka, malaking tulong talaga siya
ay! maging accountant. Malaking tulong talaga siya sa’yo ganun.

Respondent: So ahmm… simula nung grade eleven until now natutunan ko

paano mag, kasi abm naman yung ano ko ‘di ba, yung strand ko, natutunan ko
mag-- gumamit ng balance sheet, kung paano mag balance ng mga accounts,
ng… kung ano-anong mga accounts yung meron doon at yung iba pa. Like yung
mga pagbebenta din sa entrep naano din namin yun o naapp- tulad ngayon
naapply ko din yun ngayon kasi nagbebenta ako ng kung ano-ano sa room.

why not?

Respondent: Ahmm… sa una hindi ko ineexpect na maeenjoy ko kasi hindi ko

din naman talaga parang gusto yung strand na abm pero kalaunan nagustuhan
ko na siya at parang gusto ko na ding mag pursue ng accounting sa college. Yun
gusto ko na din kunin yung accounting na subject sa college kasi nga
nagustuhan ko siya.

specialized subjects?

Respondent: SIguro more practice lang talaga like kasi pabalik-balik lang naman
yung mga accounts, hindi naman siya mag-iiba. So, kailangan mo lang intindihin
at tiaaka ano... imemorize mo lang kung ano-ano yung mga accounts na yun
para hindi mo makalimutan at para hindi ka malito

subjects?

Respondent: Yun. Yung pag balance talaga kasi ‘pag yung mag balance ka sa
balance sheet ay sa ano o sa yun na nga, ‘pag may term ka lang na nakalimutan
is parang kailangan mo hanapin nanaman yun from the start nanaman, kailangan
mong ulitin, tignan mo kung saan ka may error. Kaya mahirap din siya kasi ‘pag
may mali ka lang kunti, kailangan mo magbalik sa umpisa.

Respondent: Hmm… paano ko ba naovercome? Siguro ano patience lang

talaga, kailangan mo lang talaga ng tiyaga kasi kalaunan kasi maano mo nalang
man siya o parang naano o parang ano ba ‘yan nagiging expert ka na din dun
kasi alam mo na kung paano talaga yung way ng pag ano o... pag... pagbalance
or something, basta parang na.... Tulad ngayon, parang okay a—dati, nung una
nahihirapan talaga ako paano ‘yan, hindi ko alam, dapat mag analyze ka pa bago
ka mag balance. Ngayon, parang… parang ka—parang okay okay na, kaya ko
na.

Respondent: Yun…. Parang may ano na ako… may… may parang yung dito sa
grade eleven and twelve, parang na.. parang binigyan nila ng kunting hint or clue
kung ano yung magiging lesson ko ‘pag accounting yung kinuha ko sa college

Respondent: I have learned many things like ahh solving basic questions and
account—like accounting and ahmm learning some skills and doing some

yung strategies ko sa subject nay un is time management, para lalong

Respondent: Ahh... I have encountered ano o... difficulties such as journalizing
kasi since transactions in fundamentals accounting is difficult kasi madaming
iaanalyze kaya dun ako nahihirapan

Respondent: Ahh… making my self ano o... discipline, maglalaan ng oras sa
pagpractice ng paggawa ng transactions

Respondent: Ahh learning experiences na naprepare ko para sa sarili ko for my
future is… ano lang face the ano o. nicontrol ko yung fear ko yung… ahh
iprepare na... ano yun *reads the question*, ano siya same lang sa pag ano o.
memorize yung ano o… learning experience na ano o… ano ulit yun. *reads the
question again* maging ano lang… maging confident na magagawa ko on time.

Respondent: So, I have two specialized subjects, the principles of marketing and
the applied economics. So, actually, tapos ko na naano yung applied economics
sa grade eleven ko *coughs*. I also learned some…something from it from my
classmates like about sectors like social sector, environmental sector, ahmm…
economic sectors. Tapos sa principles of marketing, nalearn ko rin kung paano
mag market ano mag market ng business and yung strategies

Respondent: Yes. I enjoyed it. Because, teachers are very approachable and
ahmm magaling din silang magturo

dalawa kasi specialized subject kasi silang dalawa ‘di ba kaya mahirap talaga
sila. So, a ano like mga projects, yung paggawa ng mga SWOT, kasi may mga
ano kasi yan kung paano siya i…. paano siya i… ano nga yun… basta yung mga
s wants ganyan ganyan… Sa principles of marketing yung mga entrepreneur

Respondent: Yes. Naenjoy naman ako kasi madami ako natutunan at favorite ko

Respondent: Yes, it can improved, kasi curious ka talaga sa strand mo kasi yun
talaga pinaka punto mo sa strand na ABM.

Respondent: Madami din naman. About sa balance sheet, hindi ako masyado
magaling sa pagbalance.

Respondent: Easy lang, making ka lang kung paano at nanood ako sa YouTube
kung papaano nga ba yun i-solve.

Respondent: ABM strand is alam ko makakahelp ito sa’kin ngayon kasi kinuha ko
ang ABM mahilig ako sa business at nagbubusiness din ako minsan kaya
malaking help to sa’kin. May matutunan ka rin kasi paano nga ba mag business
sa strand na ABM.
