METRIC FOR EVALUATION OF VARIOUS PLAYERS
We have evaluated all 44 AMCs based on four operational metrics
and then have picked the top 10 players.

Asset Under Management (AUM): This is a key operational metric as it

represents the total value of assets managed by an AMC.
Product Diversification: The AMCs should have at least 3-4 funds in each
category, like equity-based, debt-based, goal-based, multi-asset allocation
funds, and so on and so forth.
Distribution Network: A broader reach is established through partnerships
with banks, financial advisors, and FinTech startups like Groww. High reach
enables high penetration of products.
Sustainability and ESG Initiatives: Post-COVID-19 shortlisted AMCs have been
actively involved in environmental, social, and governance principles, which
aligns with the larger responsibility of investing and asset preferences.
