Introduction
In order to perform the Camshaft Assembly procedure, the prep, replacement and inspection must be
completed prior.
Module Objectives:
Given a camshaft, the appropriate service literature, tooling and the Lab J Worksheet, the participant will be
able to:
Perform a Job Safety Analysis on the prescribed task.
Safely perform the Camshaft Assembly Procedure and return the machine to operational conditions as
indicated on the Lab J worksheets with no errors and within the required time (1 hour).

Instructor Notes:
Participants will perform the Camshaft Assembly Procedure as described on the instructor worksheet. The
participant must perform all the steps with 100% accuracy, within the time allotted (1 hour) and in a safe and
secure manner.
Ensure all procedure steps are completed.
Ensure participant prepares a Job Safety Analysis.
Ensure participant has appropriate PPE before starting the lab.
Ensure participant has completed the knowledge portion of the training prior to conducting the procedure.
Ensure machine is placed in a safe work condition before participant conducts the procedure.
Ensure when training is completed, component is returned to operational conditions.
Ensure all documents are signed and acknowledged as needed.
Ensure that training documents are returned to training department when completed.
