PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS

 Being part of the pioneer lecturers at the SIT Sangam School of Nursing in 2005 and
seeing it become established and grow despite the many challenges encountered.

 Established the Midwifery program at the SIT Sangam School of Nursing in 2010

 Taking up the dual positions of Director of the SIT Sangam College of Nursing and
being the coordinator of the Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery program since
2016 to date.

 Curriculum development – being part of a dedicated team in developing the

Postgraduate Diploma of Nursing Leadership and Management AND the
Postgraduate Diploma of Community Public Health Nursing for the SIT Sangam
College of Nursing.

 Curriculum review – being part of the team, in partnership with James Cook
University, Townsville, Australia, that reviewed three programs that SIT College of
Nursing offered in 2019:

o Bachelor of Nursing Science 3-year program

o Postgraduate Diploma of Midwifery
o Postgraduate Diploma of Nursing Practice [Nurse Practitioner]

 Curriculum review – in collaboration with UNFPA is in the process of reviewing the

PG Diploma of Midwifery which was developed in 2009 by James Cook University.

 Member of the Fiji Nursing Council since 2016, as promulgated in the Nursing Act

 Member of the Aged Care and Community Care Industry Standards Advisory
Committee of the Fiji Higher Education Commission, 2022.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

1. Watching international rugby games for both codes (league & union)
2. Attempting crossword puzzles
3. Reading non-fiction especially autobiographies and fiction such as suspense novels
