THE ADORATION OF THE CROSS

** Each brother will kiss the cross, seeing in it his own cross, the cross that
GOD allows in his life and the one that JESUS has made GLORIOUS

The Responsible presents the cross to all and says:

Behold the wood of the Cross, on which hung the salvation of the world.

All acclaim:

R. Come, let us adore.

-One by one approach the cross and venerate it with a kiss while a song is
being sung (Daughters of Jerusalem, From a Hymn of Roman the Melodist, in
him there is no beauty, Servants of Yahweh, 4th Song, Jesus My Love)

-Our Father

-Conclusive Prayer:
May abundant blessing, O Lord, we pray, descend upon us,

who have honored the Death of your Son in the hope of their resurrection:

may pardon come, comfort be given, holy faith increase,

and everlasting redemption be made secure.

Through Christ our Lord.

R. Amen.

-The celebration ends by proclaiming a day of fasting from this day until
Easter. (no peace is giving)

For this celebration bring a Cross and a pillow for everyone to kneel
