regards to environment, education, infrastructure, health, social services, moral, financial, peace and order;
The people capacity to manage their own resources And strong coordination and linkage with different agencies of the
Government and the private sector is fostered.

Goals
To reduce the number of poor families and improve their economic status in a manner of implementing sustainable livelihood
programs in order to increase family income and providing disaster-related activities so as to be disaster-resilient, peaceful, God
fearing and healthy community.

Objectives

 To implement a sustainable livelihood programs and asset protection

 To promote livelihood activities to increase the income of every family
 To promote empowerment and disaster-resilient community
 To support basic services, health and sanitation
 To promote transparency on community development
 To generate comprehensive Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plan

History of Barangay Magsaysay

Originally Magsaysay was only a sitio of barangay Cagtabon which consist of a few scattered and a distance
neighboring houses and was called a sitio Cagtabon because of many wild peacock in the place and a TABON in waray.
The earlier settler in the place were mostly came from in different places in Eastern Samar/Jeporlos/Borongan, San
Julian, and in Dolores, But Eulogio Padil and his Family was the First family who cultivated in the place along in the
Dolores River, he is from Jeporlos, an evacaues during the World war-II the Japanese occupation and by this time some
families are arriving in the place for an evacuation and they are mostly coming from the municipality of San Julian and
in Dolores.
A year ago Eulogio Padil was died because of his Seniority and due to the increase of population Mr. Cerelo Andag came
from San Julian and Mr. Julian Agarpao and Mr. Selverio Balena both from barangay Pagbabangnan
