Definition of an event
An event is defined by the number and the value of a process variable. The
value of the process variable is only taken into account with the following
process variable groups:

• All statuses
• Digital inputs and outputs
• PRNT code

When the button of the respective event cell is pressed (i.e. the respective
event cell in the Event column), the following dialog appears for the
definition of the event.

Printing settings for an event


When the button of the respective event line is clicked in the column
Print Settings, the Print settings dialog appears for defin-
ing the printing settings of the event (see “Print current page” on
page 4-40).

Page selection for an event


When the button of the respective event line in the Pages column is
clikked, the Select pages dialog appears. All printable pages are
listed and can be selected here.

Display print output


The Print output dialog shows the PDF file name of the respective direc-
tory set.

The function of the buttons is described in the following:

• [Show files]:
The selected file names are shown in the Acrobat Reader.

• [Default directory]:
The file names of the default directory are shown. Here the default
directory is the directory which is set under Printing settings (see the
section “Print current page” on page 4-40). This can be any desired or
the EPOS default directory.

• [Choose directory]:
The file names of a freely selectable directory are shown.

• [Create ASCII file]:


An ASCII file with the PDF file name of the directory currently set is

created. This file has the designation PrintFileNameList.txt

Printing output of default printout


The printing output of the default printout comprises the following PDF
files:

Change language In EPOS there are three default languages and one customer language.
The default languages are:

• German
• English
• French

The customer language is Chinese in the example.

Here a distinction is made between Chinese and Chinese*:


Chinese is the standard translation and Chinese* is a translation of
the customer. (Own columns for the customer in the customer database).
As a default, Chinese and Chinese* are identical.

Workbook management The Workbook management can be opened in the Process mode with the
menu item Actions>Workbook management…:

A workbook consists of a maximum of 9 tabs. The last tab contains the


last selected page, which is not part of the workbook (e.g. the selection of
the page via the page navigation bar (also see “Page navigation bar” on
page 4-7).
