Lesson Plan in Personal Development

Grade 12 – Diamond
1st Quarter / S.Y. 2021-2022

I. Lesson Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
A. Explain that knowing themselves can make person accept their strengths and
limitations and deal with others better;
B. Appreciate and share his/her unique characteristics, habits, and experiences;
C. Create a journal.
II. Content Standard
The learner demonstrate and understand of himself/herself during middle and late
adolescence.
III. Subject Matter
A. Topic – Unfolding One’s Peersonal Journey Through Journal Writing.b
B. Reference – Department of education Personal development book
C. Materials - Book, Manila Paper, Note Book, Ballpen and Power point
IV. Procedure
A. Review – Ask the class to differentiate the ideal self from actual self.
B. Motivation – Ask the students to read the story and the reading found in their reader.

Abstraction
There are {4} practical reasons to maintain a journal.
1. It is cost- efficient and available. Emotional stress can be dealt in many ways like
talking to a friend over a cup f coffee, eating, travelling, shopping and painting and
many more but writing is the most inexpensive. Notebooks and pen are easy to find.
Available and do not cost so much.
2. It is preventive and pro – active. Writing yield self- awareness. When you write, you
can discover your strengths and limitations. You will know what your reactions are in
different situations and what better ways to prevent, avoid, or face your fears.
3. It is creative and productive. Journal writing expounds your imagination. You can see
various dimensions of problem, different points of view and better solutions.
4. Lastly, It is personal and private Unless you want to share your stories, You have the
choice to keep them to yourself. Writing is your time alone. It is my way of loving
yourself. You will not be judge by your writing.
