INTRODUCTION
This study understands the factors affecting the student’s absenteeism to the grade 10 students
at the Naparing High School.
Nowadays there are a lot of development and dissimilarity that may encounter. Mostly
teens/students deal with absenteeism in their schools. It affects their health and their studies the other
In addition, low attainment of a student in their school not only in the academic success but it is
also high risk for future education that they want. As they've said it points that education is one of the
primer tools that people should have that lead them to success even though the transition from Junior
High School is very overwhelming and stressful experience form. Every individual should possess the
education system wherein it can help them aim the future that they wanted to be. Education has a lot of

One of the factors why students deals with absenteeism is the health of a certain people. Health
should take care a lot, it should give a lot of time to maintain a healthy living but also these health issues
include physical, mental, behavioral, vision, dental, social and emotional health problems additionally to
problems connected to a child’s close atmosphere like violence, housing insecurity and food insecurity.
As a result, ensuring that students can attend school in healthy school environments is a critical
strategy for addressing chronic absenteeism. A healthy school environment means students have
regular access to school health services, mental health services, healthy school food, physical education
and activity, healthy school buildings and a supportive school climate. Identifying and implementing
health interventions is a critical step to addressing chronic absenteeism and a key opportunity for
collaboration among multiple sectors, including health, education, public health and the environment.

In this study, the objective of the researchers is to identify the perceptions of Grade 10 students at
Jose C. Payumo Jr. Memorial High School on the Absenteeism. Specially, the researchers will answer the
following questions:

HYPOTHESIS
Based on the literature and articles reviewed, the researchers will use this hypothesis:
H1: The perceptions of Grade 10 at Naparing Junior High School students are positive with regards to
the Absenteeism.
The Students: this study will serve as an informative analysis to educate them about absenteeism.
Identifying students at high risk and the most prevalent causes of absenteeism helps create evidence-
based solutions to attendance problems.
The Parents: this study will help them to accumulate more information about the factors of
absenteeism and it can help to support and guide the academic performance of their child.
The Teachers: this study may be able to be well-informed about the performance that shows by their
students.
The Future Researchers: this study is a potential reference for them and can add significant information
The respondents of the study will be the (40%) of the total 202 Grade 10 students in Jose C. Payumo
Jr. Memorial High School. The respondents will be randomly selected to answer the questionnaire that
will be used in this study.
The researchers conduct this study to understand the factors affecting student absenteeism of grade 10
students. The researchers took place at the Naparing High School. The objective of this study is to be
able to know and understand the factors of student absenteeism and to gain knowledge about it.
