I. Introduction

justin bieber released his latest song with the pop genre entitled
"love yourself" after his debut song "baby" was very popular among
teenagers.

 Love yourself is included in the album purpose. Where this album
got the best album nomination of the year at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
When I first heard this song, I felt the songs on this album deserved an
award at the Grammys. The food in the song is very touching and relates to
life in the present.

II. Musician Background

I knew Justin Bieber when his debut song “Baby” was booming
around me. I was curious after listening to some of his songs. I started to like
him and have become his fan since 2015. In my opinion, Justin Bieber is a
very talented musician with a distinctive voice that is addictive to listen.
After justin bieber’s booming debut song. In 2012 justin released a
song called beauty and a beat on his youtube account. Until now the song is
still watched up to 1M views. While the song “love yourself” itself has been
watched and heard as much as 1.7 M on YouTube. Not surprising because
justin bieber has many fans in many countries who support him.
Compared to songs by other artists, the song “Love Yourself” talks a
lot about the ego of a woman who loves herself more than her lover. In this
song it makes us aware that we are not concerned with the ego and care more
about the environment around us, we will be destroyed if the ego has taken
over us.

III. Album

In the album purpose takes the theme of problems that always exist
in everyone’s love story. I realized from the song that justin bieber wants
everyone who is in love to be aware, not all love stories have a happy ending
but they can end tragically. Don’t regret it, it’s already the way in each of our
lives.
In my opinion, the lyrics are a lament from the side of a man who is
fed up with his girlfriend’s attitude and he tries to express his complaints so
that he can be understood and let go of their relationship on good terms, as in
the following lyrics
“ oh baby, you should go and love yourself
And if you think that i’m still holdin’ on to somethin
You should go and love yourself “

IV. Impressions and Opinions

In the Purpose album, the songs Love Yourself and Sorry Hang are
the most liked and popular compared to the others. That’s because the two

 songs have interesting and unique accompaniments so that more people hear
them
Compared to other albums. I like more purpose albums because the
rhythms and songs are suitable to be sung when alone, especially with the
meaning contained in the songs which are very supportive when we want to
have “me time”
V. Overall Rating and Final Comment
I hope justin bieber can make music videos that are as good or maybe
better and unique than the purpose album. The songs on the purpose album
are cool and really calm the mind when we are enjoying our alone time. But
I’ll still be hoping for more spectacular and unique upcoming songs from the
album purpose.
