PROPERTIES
8
Flexibility: Graphene is exceptionally flexible and can be bent and stretched
without breaking. This property is crucial for applications demanding flexibility, like
wearable electronics and flexible screens.
9
APPLICATIONS
10
Materials Reinforcement: Adding graphene to other materials, like plastics and
composites, enhances their strength, electrical conductivity, and thermal
properties. This opens up possibilities in aerospace and automotive industries for
lighter and stronger materials.
Water Filtration: Graphene membranes are being explored for desalination and
water purification. Their nanoscale pores allow for efficient water filtration while
blocking salt and impurities
.
Biomedical: Graphene holds potential in drug delivery systems, tissue
engineering, and as biosensors for detecting diseases and toxins.
11
CHALLENGES
Cost: The cost of producing graphene remains relatively high due to the
complexities of large-scale production. This limits its widespread adoption.
12
ONGOING RESEARCH
13
Biomedical Innovations: Graphene's applications in drug delivery, tissue
engineering, and biosensors are continually evolving, with researchers exploring
its compatibility and safety in biological systems.
