ENGLISH A2 -TASK 5 to 8

TASK 5
Would it be possible for them to stop smoking in the apartment? The smoke is not
pleasant for all.
Could you avoid painting the outside walls? We prefer to take care of the
presentation of the apartment complex.
Can you please lower the volume of the music? It is early and the neighbors must
rest.
Would you mind picking up your pet's feces? We want to take care of the park for
everyone's comfort.
Don't forget to park your cars properly.
You'd better not let strangers in. It's for the safety of the children and the people who
live here.

TASK 6

I am grateful for your collaboration. First of all, I recommend you tell each teacher
the reason for my absence, giving each one the letter in which I excuse myself.
Afterwards, I would appreciate it if you could ask the course director what I should
do to get ahead. Finally, could you give Luisa the gift I prepared for her? I hope to

TASK 7
Independence Day in Colombia is a date to celebrate that we beat the Spanish and
fight for our land. July 20 is the day in which we thank all those peasants who joined
and fought together; It is a time to thank our family and unify. During this day time
is spent with the family and in the afternoon, you can see different parades
illustrating our process of independence with dances and other presentations.
Generally something delicious is eaten after or during the parade and finally
everyone goes home.

TASK 8
This person matured a lot over time. She lived through many situations in which she
had to keep his head up. She used to work a lot to support herself. Now she is the
boss of a large company. She is happy with her family and with the result of all her
efforts. But she also has dreams. She wants to be able to change the world with his
ideas and wants to move to a bigger house to provide more comfort for his children.
She wants to grow old being happy and carefree. She will remain happy.
