Calculus 1000a - University of Western Ontario

Final Exam Version A
December 13, 2022, 2 PM - 5 PM

Clearly print your full name in the box below

as it appears on official Univ. records: Clearly print Student Number in the box:

Put your signature in the box below: Put your Instructor’s name and tutorial # below

Instructions:

• This is Version A. Check that your exam booklet has 6 pages (12 sides). Put your initials at the
top of each page. Do not unstaple this booklet or insert additional pages. Doing so renders it void
(the pages have unique identifiers).

• You should have also received a bubble sheet for recording your multiple choice answers. You must
enter all the required info on the Bubble Sheet including selecting A as the version,
your name, ID number and your tutorial number as your section number.

• Questions 1-22 are multiple choice. Enter your answers on the bubble sheet provided, using an HB
or # 2 pencil, and circle your answer in the test booklet. You do not need to show your work for
these problems. Each multiple choice question is worth 2 marks. In the case of a discrepancy between
the answers on the bubble sheet and in the test booklet the answer on the bubble sheet will be taken
as your intended answer.

• Questions 23, 24, 25, and 26 are written short answer questions. Show and clearly justify your work.
Unjustified answers may receive little or no credit. Pages 11 and 12 of the Test are Extra space for
work you want to be graded for Q23, Q24, Q25, or Q26. Please clearly label such extra work here
by the problem number (e.g. “Extra work for Q24”). Also indicate on the original page for such
problems that there is extra work available (e.g. “See last page for extra work for this problem”).

• No calculators or notes.

• You may request scrap paper for ungraded calculations. Do not insert such pages in this test booklet.
