Science Fair

Project
By Mariana T. Marianne G. Angel L.

The difference of one and the five cents.

The hypothesis (or
prediction)

What do you think

will happen?I predict that
the five cent coin(Nickel) will arrive at the
same time as the one cent coin(penny).
Introduce the independent and dependent
variable

Independent Variable:The coins.

Dependent Variable:The time it takes.
Controlled Variables: The amount of water
Research
We put the 1 and 5 cent in a glass of water to see which one
fell faster and the 5 cent fell faster than the one cent.
Procedures/
Methods
Each scientist uses different methods
of experimentation

What methods did you use in your experiment?

The coin falling into the water

Materials

A cent,five cents,and a glass cup.

Data Table/Data
Insert a data table you title, labels, and units

Name Weigh Length height

Nicke (5 cents) 5 grams 0.835 inches (21.21 0.835 inches (21.21

mm) mm)

Penny (1 cent) 2.500 g. 0.75 inches (19.05 mm) 0.750 inches

(19.05mm)
Graph
Insert a graph with data table in this slide.

Name mass Cost composition

Five cents 5g 5 cents 75% copper 25% nickel

One cent 2,5 g 1 cent since 1982: zinc

coated with copper
(97.5% Zn, 2.5%
Cu)
Aha!

Results
What did you learn after testing?

1. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet,

consectetur adipiscing elit I learned that not everything works out the first
time, you have to try and try until you achieve what
you want to be.
2. Incididunt ut labore et dolore

3. Consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do

eiusmod tempor incididunt
This is the most
important
takeaway that
everyone has to
remember.
Conclusion
What is the conclusion of your experiment? Did the
results support your hypothesis or predicted outcome?
How will your findings help the area of science you’ve
researched?

My hypothesis was correct and now I know the weight

of each coin and which is worth more and which is
worth less. I know the differences between the two
currencies and which falls faster. We deduced that the
five coin would fall faster than the one thanks to its
weight and my conclusion is that the five coin is heavier
than the one.
Applications
What are the real-world applications of your project?
How is your project and its findings relevant to society.

not at all because people have already done experiments

on this so it's not going to help, it's just going to be one of
many
